WTF? Can anyone explain this?

The other day Arsenal lost to some team I never heard of and I saw all kind of negative stuff about the team, manager and owners. Then today I see they beat AC Milan 2-0 in an away match! Being in the US I don't get as much of the coverage as I'd like but any insight would be appreciated.

Its hard to understand and I surprised Arsenal fans here.

They have more talent than they are showing in the League. It sometimes happens that a different tournament can be a respite for the grind of poor league form. The team also know that their only chance of qualifying for next seasons Champions League is through the EUROPA League because their chances of top four are gone, so maybe the players are prioritising the EUROPA. Also, a factor is that Arsenal are a technical team who play a European style whereas their lack of physicality can come up short in the Prem.

However, the majority of Arsenal fans now want Wenger to go. They are miles away from their rivals and have deteriorated in recent years. Wenger was great back when he arrived but now others have used his ideas and used them better. He keeps making the same mistakes and the culture of the club will be moribund until he leaves. Its sad to say but they probably should have replaced him a few years ago and the board have been too scared to sack a dynastic manager.

@Burnley123 I'm sorry that all I catch are bits and pieces but I have seen the fans discontent with Wenger. I'll miss tomorrows match as I'll be in church. As I said it's probably a ridiculous reason to follow them but it is what it is.

they lost all morale wenger their manager has lost the faith of his team. them winning is either positive sign or just a blip and they will go back to losing

arsenal is scared of success... whenever they get into danger to actually win something the looser instinct kicks in

@Madgirl From what little I know (from being in the US) and a poor excuse for liking them (their kit is a lot like the one I wore in college) when I see results it often seems they play down to the level of their competition.

@SageWanderer they are very consistent in the top... but never no.1 they are one of my favorite teams in the premier league too
