Ummm...I presume you have watched both. They seem quite different to me. Though to be fair, they are both artistic, just one may have more abstract qualities while the other is more architectural.

aside from all your opinions, i hate watching the ice dancing. it makes me wanna hurl. i like watching the figure skating, though, especially the women's singles.

@MethDozer lifts and lands aren't the only thing that makes them different competitions. things like 'expression', 'lyricism', and 'fluidity of synchronicity' count more in ice dancing.
