Reincarnation is about clearing the karmic residues and helping the soul evolve. A birth happens in circumstances that give the soul an opportunity to shed past karmic effects and absorb new experiences for growth. It is not mainly a matter of personal choice, but more a necessity for the soul’s continued evolution.
