I don't know. To me an old soul is someone more knowledgeable about history & the past in general, wise, and blends well with older people. I don't find those qualities in myself.
But you could be right in that watching those movies says something like it could be a form of escapism.

What I believe may be controversial to many people, but here goes -
Old souls are souls who have been in the cycle of reincarnation for a long time and have accumulated wisdom from those various reincarnations. When they incarnate as human form, they carry some of their wisdom into their life and it shows in the way and content of what they speak and how they interact.
I don't know whether I am an old soul, but I am not a young soul either.

@Grateful4you yes i have heard stories of children like that as well. I have no past life memories either. Yes who knows?! I dont rule out reincarnation.

@Littlewing Nor do I especially, with the realization most of the world does indeed believe in reincarnation. I think volunteering to be hypnotised would be fun just to see if anything actually emerges from the session.

I can't say for myself, but I've been called such. I've been told it's because of the way I treat and care for others before taking care of myself. Especially the kids I've taken into my home.

@V00doo Sounds like she is going to need a LOT of nurturing and support. She is super sensitive. It will be both a gift and a curse. More than likely very empathetic which can be emotionally draining. I bet she will prefer the company of her elders more than her own peer group as she get's older. I wish you and her my best.
