Actually, would it surprise you to learn that there is science behind it? Follow me while I try to break it down simply.
Radio is simply taking electricity and releasing it to radiate out and away from a transmitter / antenna. Receiving a radio signal is just capturing the radiated energy and amplifying it.
In simple terms, transmitting a radio signal is the exact opposite of receiving a radio signal. Therefore, the perfect transmitter would make a perfect receiver, also.
The human brain processes electrical signals which store and retrieve information. Any electrical circuit will always radiate some energy outward. IN other words, your thoughts don't stay in your head, they radiate in electrical energy outside of your body. So, your brain is a radio transmitter. Now, what is the perfect receiver for the transmitter known as the human brain? Another human brain.
But that doesn't mean you can automatically read other people's thoughts. You are most likely to be able to process signals from people who you have spent a lot of time with. Like your siblings or your parents or your spouse or your kids.
If a person states...I can always sense when my brother is in trouble...
That could be a true statement, with hard science to back it up!!!

Dr. J. B. Rhine had a parapsychology lab at Duke University in the 1940's and 50's, investigating ESP and other phenomena. I read a lot of his reports when I was in high school and thought I was having telepathic experiences. I have no idea how to cause it to happen, but I have experienced it spontaneously.
