This is an interesting Sunday reflection...
Lucifer was thrown out of heaven because he was trying to be like God.
" Lucifer, originally an angel, became prideful and desired to ascend to heaven and challenge God's authority. His rebellion led to his expulsion from heaven, as seen in passages like Isaiah 14:12 and Ezekiel 28:17, which describe his desire to be equal to God and his subsequent fall from grace. This story serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of pride and the importance of humility in our relationship with God."

"Ezekiel 28:12-17, says, “You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God…You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade, you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings”.
"Isiah 14:12-15 says, “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God, I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit”

So...a cautionary tale is told herein: do not take pride in all of your attempts at "perfection". Do not hold yourself up on high as if you were God himself, and belittle others.
Instead...give ALL of that to God Himself. ONLY God is the judge of the state of a man's heart and soul.
