According to Protestants the only mediator is between jesus and God. But according to the Book of Enoch Saints have a bigger role.

according to The Book of Enoch describes holy beings in heaven, including angels and the souls of the righteous, interceding for humanity on Earth by presenting their prayers and causes to God. This reflects a belief within Judaism and early Christianity that heavenly entities could advocate for those on earth, a concept also seen in the Book of Revelation. The text shows that the souls of men appeal to the holy ones of heaven to "Bring our cause before the Most High" Yes, the Book of Enoch suggests that beings in heaven, particularly holy ones and angels, intercede for people on Earth, with one passage stating that the souls of men ask the holy ones in heaven to bring their causes before the Most High. While the book was not included in the biblical canon by most traditions, it reflects beliefs held by some ancient Jews and is consistent with later Christian ideas of saints and angels interceding for humanity

I’d think there’d be at least canvassing and advocacy for some prayers. To prioritize and fast track the requests of worshipers Almost like a sponsor of a bill in the legislature or a petition with more signatures
