Was Judas really a "bad guy"?

People always consider Judas a traitor since he betrayed Christ and sold him to the Romans to be crucified. But wasn't God's whole plan to have Jesus crucified in order for human kind to be forgiven for their sins? So if Judas hadn't betrayed Jesus what would have happened? I feel that Judas was only forfilling his part in God's whole plan.

Jesus is the one that betrayed Judas by outing him and putting a price on his head in saying he would be the betrayer. Thus setting up a self fulfilling prophecy wherein Judas in anger at being betrayed betrayed Jesus then.
