Trying to believe in God, but cannot

Why he let evil people get away?
Like forreal. I'm so angry at him. Have every right to be angry. When a jerk almost killed me and took nudes of me, but walking his life free like why

Jesus said we'll have tribulation but in him we'll have peace. You can complain to God till he all but groans but when you're done thank him because it could have been worse.

@karysma I'm sorry but to me this sounds like an abusive relationship. God hurts you or lets you get hurt and then expects you to thank him because it could have been worse? That sounds toxic to me.

Jesus said we'll have tribulation
It seems a lot of christian are putting great effort into making that part of the prediction come true.

According to the biblical fairy tale, it is God who causes all of the evil disasters that afflict everyone. He really isn't a nice creature.

@SW-User I know what you mean but if you were warned before hand then you should always be alert correct? You should take necessary prescriptions and make sure you're ready when the evil day comes.

@karysma Some people have their gods to protect them from your. Others of us are confident your god isn't real so can't harm us anyway. We do need to beware of those who believe it is real though.

@Diotrephes People blame God because he created the one inflicting evil upon people which is understandable. If he'd not created the evil one and his followers life in this world would have been beautiful. I wouldn't be in a wheelchair 😭😭😭

Based on your experiences and observations, what do you think would be the most evil day for you? How do you think you would deal with it if such a thing was to happen to you today?

@Sharon That is not true and you know it. Every person in this world experiences pain and suffering at some point in their lives. If you haven't then you're probably a ghost or something.

That is not true and you know it.
What isn't true? That some people worship gods other than yours? Most people on Earth don't believe in your god.

I never said people don't suffer, I don't know where you got that idea from. I just said your god can't harm me because it doesn't exist in reality.

Sorry for your misfortune. So far I have no obvious condition and, although I have had several major accidents, I have never had any serious injuries or illnesses. Of course my family members have suffered from all kinds of ailments and disorders. It's been my conclusion that you don't get a gold star for suffering, you just get pain and misery.

I have no idea how I will cope when misfortune slaps me upside my head. I'm sure that I will find out one day and I'm not looking forward to it. But, overall, I have had a good life. I have loved and been loved, have been healthy all of my life, and have never personally suffered in any way even when I could have easily died in accidents.

@Sharon You wrote an incomplete response. If my God didn't exist you wouldn't exist too.

@karysma
If my God didn't exist you wouldn't exist too.
What gives you that idea? One could just as well say, with equal validity, that you wouldn't exist if The Flying Spaghetti Monster didn't. Hindus believe Brahma is the Creator, their beliefs are just as valid as yours. Other religions have other beliefs regarding the origins of the universe. Your beliefs are no more valid than theirs.

@Diotrephes God wrote our life stories differently and lately I keep asking him why he added 12 years of disability to my story. I keep asking him why he created me cause I'm of no use to anybody but a burden.

I'm glad you've had a good life 😃. I hope you never have to face ailments or disorders.

@karysma But your god and the bible are no proof of why we exist. Evidence points in the direction that we are nothing more than a cosmic accident.
karysma · 36-40, F
@Sharon People believe a lot of unreal things. Just like God the evil one is busy gathering a harvest of souls to spend with in eternity. Eternity is a long time and there's no way out of it.
karysma · 36-40, F
@SW-User What created the cosmic?

Yes, that includes christian. They believe in unreal things, like "god", too.
karysma · 36-40, F
@Sharon Christianity is the real deal.

@karysma
What created the cosmic?
What created your god? The same answer can simply be applied to your question.

@karysma It's not true that you are of no use. You encourage me in your faith, in your hope, in your love, in your perseverance.

@Sharon The fact that you spend your time commenting on my posts makes me think you're unsure of your beliefs.

Christianity is the real deal.
Where's your evidence to support that assertion. Without evidence your beliefs are no more valid than anyone else's. Actually The Flying Spaghetti Monster is the "real deal." 😇

@SW-User Awww thank you 😊. I'm glad I'm making a difference in your life.

I'm completely sure of my beliefs (or lack thereof), I'm just concerned that impressionable people might be misled by you.

@karysma You're welcome. Thank you for making a difference in my life. I'm going through a long rough time, and through your steadfast, patient endurance, you are implicitly encouraging me to persevere and not lose hope.
