Trying to believe in God, but cannot

@Adstar Yes the world is evil but why choose to believe in god. There are so many better spiritual guides than the christian god.
Shakealot maybe find a different belief or meaning in your life that is not as immoral as christianity and that brings you actual hope and empowerment.

@SW-User There is no better spiritual guide then the LORD, the God of Abraham.. Any spirit opposed to His guidance is an evil spirit a deciever destined to the eternal lake of fire..

You have every right to belief in your authoritarian god but do not scare other people and threaten them with "hell" just because they refuse to belief something without the slightest proof.
How can you read the bible and come to the conclusion your god is just? He is monstrous.

Yes because He is perfect and all his standards are perfect.. So disagreeing with Him is a fault in the one who disagrees..


Not my intention to scare anyone.. But the fear of the LORD is the start of wisdom for those who get on the path to eternal life.. I just inform people in a matter of fact way the basic reality of God and eternity.. People can believe of disbelieve as they deem fit.. In the end those who are accepting of the truth will be saved those who are rejecting of the truth will not.. People are in control of their own eternal destiny..


Easy because i have read the Entire Bible from start to finish and have been given wisdom to understand by God.. Once a person gets the overall picture one finds it beautiful indeed..

@Doomflower God can and will restore all damaged people who believe Him and trust in His Atonement.. Without God there is no hope for eternal restoration.. In your world view there is no hope for anything better.. just a life of suffering and then non existence.. In my world i have been griven strengh to face the troubles and suffering because i can see the light at the end of this tunnel.. You atheists have nothing to look forward to.. just a short life in this world of suffering and then nothing..

Life is more bearable when you have hope for something better.. 👍

I am an atheistic Satanist and receive my hope from nature, love and the acceptance that there is light and darkness in this world and that so called "sins" are just part of myself and the human experience.
I try to experience life to the fullest without bowing down to a non existing entity and living according to rotten morals.
I am glad that after death comes nothingness. I see the beauty in non existing after a wonderful yet harsh life.

@Adstar so you are going to tell me your god sits and watches a child get raped and does NOTHING in that moment because ... why?

@SW-User But existence does not end at death.. Existence goes on for eternity.. Some will have an eternity that is good some will have an eternity which will be bad..

I am glad i can look forward to a perfect eixtence once i leave this shite hole of an existence.. If you brainwash yourself into being satisfied with this world then i really do feel sorry for you.. This world is no where near acceptable to me.. I have a far higher hope..

@Doomflower Why because this world is faulty and God has an eternal plan to Redeem His creation and at the same time defeat satan and his spirits who claimed Godhood.. The short term suffering,, even to the extent that your example identifies will be as nothing compared to the joy and contentment that God has for those who have gone through that suffering and endured it for the LORD.. God is destined to have His victory,, all that is left for human beings is to decide if they will join Him in victory or they will join satan in etenrla defeat in the eternal lake of fire.. Those who love evil will be cast into it and will have no escape from an eternity in torment..

Just a statement Lacrimagirl... But know this, no human can prove the existence or the non-existence of God,, But God himself can prove His existence to anyone whom He wills to do so.. And He has proven his existence to me.. So while you have no conclusive proof of God either His existence or non existence.. I have proof of Gods existence and He is Awesome beyond imagining 🤗

@Adstar Everyone can prove the existence of their deity to themselves. Your proof comes from your belief. He is alive in you because you believe in him but he is no actual deity. 😌
I have experienced Satan within me and he made me whole. That said he doesn't actual exist.. just to me within me.

Only seeing this world as evil is also very small minded cause there is a lot more nuance to it.

No. Because when God created the world it was good.. God said it was good.. It later became sabotaged by satan by his successfully tempting our ancestors to lose their innocence by adopting the knowledge of good and evil.. Only after this did Gods creation go bad.. So i hate this imperfect world and i long to leave it and enter into Gods perfect eternal existence..


I do not see the world as only being evil.. Love is in this world and it is a good thing to experience, i also like good music and nice food.. This world is a mixed bag of good and bad.. But when one compares it to a perfect world to come this place becomes a shite hole in comparison and you cannot be satisfied with a slum once you become knowledgeable of a paradise.. Now if you lived in a slum all your life and never knew anything different.. Maybe you would not have any strong emotions on your existence.. But once you know of a better world you will never be satisfied with living in a slum..
