The Bible, Gods word, is History of God helping the humble, and freeing slaves.

God is amazing how he helped the Jews who were slaves and conquered their enemies.

The Old Testament is an illustration of what we deserve, death !The New Testament is an illustration of what we don't deserve, life, God's Grace, Jesus who became the slaughtered lamb for us.

@Diotrephes Godly women in the Bible were admired by men. In Jewish and Christian families' husbands love their wives. No abuse or control. My Dad loved my mom, always hugging her, My Grandfathers loved my grandmas.

@Diotrephes The Old Testament Proverbs woman worked, travelled, bought real estate, had servants, got up before dawn to worship and feed her household and employees. She was loved by her husband and children! She was a businesswoman, strong, humble, and loving.

Your statement says Israel is the people of God, not the French, Italians, Chinese, Brazilians, Americans, etc.

The French, Italian, Chinese, Brazilians, Americans, me, and everyone are adopted into Israel when God saves us. When The Holy Spirit comes into our heart. Jesus says "You must be born again"

Abraham put God first, before anyone. He trusted God, so God saved him and his child. He will save you too and your children if you put Jesus first. God gave his only begotten Son, so we can live. Love is sacrifize. It is giving! Jesus expects us to give our life for our neighbors, not only for our kids. Love casts out fear. Abraham was a picture of God's love.

These are spiritual lessons that only those understand who walk with the Holy Spirit.

@Carazaa If Abraham is one of God's favorite human I would rather bunk with Satan. At least Satan tried to save humans and the world from destruction by the God character in the biblical fairy tale.
