God loves us so much that he made all the stars in heaven for us.

And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years, and let them be lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so. And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. (Genesis 1:14-19 )

@Onestarlitnight Nope he created a beautiful world, but we create the pain because we do not do what he says. If we wait to have sex until we marry, if we love and forgive everyone, if we put God first, and tithe 10% then life is good! If we are not loving, if we hold grudges and retaliate, if we are greedy, if we are ruled by our feelings and are selfish, then we will have problems.

@Carazaa There are plenty of "christians" I see and hear from who profess to love god but do not adhere to the beliefs; a good example is the "tithe" you refer to. These are the "christians" who don't want taxes spent on social justice or equality. THe ones that these people refer to an "unworthy". These "believers" can't or won't even follow the teaching about not judging other people, otherwise their "god" will judge them. I put my faith in the people I see who do the right thing because it is the right thing, and not because they are arrogant enough to think their place in "heaven" is assured.

there are also "jackasses". like you and me. who colorfully and politely pick on people because we don't share their beliefs. is that fair? should we detest, challenge and degrade someone's faith. no. agree to disagree and show her some damn respect. just because I hate mayonaise and favor mustard doesn't mean I go around hating people who like mayonnaise. grow the fuck up.
