I don't think life would exist without heaven and hell. What would be the point?
Sharon · F
@PhoenixPhail Why does life need a point?
@Sharon To give us drive to live, learn and love. It would be pointless to just exist like emotionless robots.
Sharon · F
@PhoenixPhail That doesn't explain why life needs a point though. Things can exist without one.
@Sharon I believe it's up to us to create meaning of what we see. We make our own points as we go. There's also no purpose or reason to anything, other than that which we assign to it.

@Sharon Because everything is from intelligent design.
Sharon · F
@Zonuss There's no reason to believe that and plenty to suggest it's not. @newjaninev2 has listed a lot of what would be called "design flaws" if there were a designer.

@Zonuss Intelligent design, which is, of course, merely creationism, holds that some aspects of life are so complex that they cannot have evolved. A central tenet of this claim is the notion of ‘irreducible complexity’, which asserts that some biological systems must be the product of design, because if you were to remove one or two components from something it would not function properly, or at all, and that the individual parts would serve no purpose on their own.

Unfortunately for creationists, they have never been able to provide even a single example of ‘irreducible complexity’, so that attempt to dress up creationism in a lab coat has now died.
@newjaninev2 This is very interesting stuff to me. 🧠

You got that right.

@GodSpeed63 and this part of the same quote?

(the part you have ignored in your attempt to quote mine)

Just saying, you got that part right, Newjaninev. The other part, you still need to work on.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@GodSpeed63 So the part you feel I ‘got right’ is the part of creationism’s design claims for which there is absolutely no support? 😂
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@newjaninev2 You cannot create something that is of nature with the Divine. Nature has a nucleus. It is not man.
