Not uncommon in other mythologies. Odin created the universe from a dismembered frost giant, he had Valhalla for the warriors, that made up his army, but the afterlife he left to the goddess Hela, Loki’s daughter.

@Zonuss 1) No such book as "Revelations". I'm surprised someone who knows the bible as well as you claim to doesn't know that. I guess you mean "Revelation" but 21:8 refers to a lafe of fire as "the second death". It doesn't suggest it's the classical Hell, a place of eternal torment.
Matthew 13:50 appears to contradict Revelation 21:8. It refers to "a furnace of fire" where "there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." Admittedly that sounds a bit more like the classical Hell but doesn't call it Hell and omits the "fire and brimstone".
Now, having highlighted it, how do you resolve the contradiction?
