I don't even get the idea of worship. That is literally an ancient idea. Like why would I beg, praise and lay face down on the floor to appease another person or being's fragile ego.
We did that with Hitler before WWII with idea of appeasement. The problem with appeasing an entity is that any entity that demands it is too unstable for them to actually be satisfied with it. Which explains why the Abrahamic God genocides everything even when all rules are followed.
But the ancient idea of appeasement/worship would make sense when you anthropomorphize natural forces. You literally worshiped entities because you were afraid of it killing you. So you tried to appeal to a non existent ego like you would a narcissistic human.
The idea that a person would worship out of love or respect therefore makes no sense. If you love or respect something/someone that much you will have enough respect to NOT replace your own personality with the personality of it.
So no, even if God existed there wouldn't be a need to worship unless it was evil. And even then it would only be worshiped because it was forced. If God existed and he was good he wouldn't require worship (not even mentioning all other logical problems with that idea). Worship from love/respect is pointless.
@Aliveshock One god, but not one religion. Each claims their’s is the true one, each has it’s version of the afterlife. If only one can be the true god, then the rest are screwed because they were born into the wrong culture. There’s no reason that a nameless being , completely unknown to us created the universe, with no interest or connection to the human race at all. Earth, is just one tiny planet in the infinite cosmos, which we can’t interact with. God might be unaware we even exist.
@Aliveshock You’re a Christian, I’ll type slower, The question is simple. Would you still worship a god, that did nothing for you ? Created the universe, but no heaven or hell , no afterlife. No involvement with humanity whatsoever.
