Why do some people believe..... that you can't be a scientist and still believe in God ?

@Softandsweet2 It's not my purpose to convert anyone. It's not my purpose to argue this point. My purpose is to inquire peoples opinion regardless which way they go. I agree people are different. I'm not a bible basher or a religious freak. I do however like to ask important question to me and so far I have got really interesting responses. I won't let anything go as you suggest. My curiosity is what SW is designed for. If your worried about such questions then you can always skip these type of question. Or Else you can form an opinion and live dangerously.

I think we need to learn how to have respectful disagreements and debate, then end the day sharing a bottle of wine or beer (or whiskey)

@usher It’s the subject matter. Similar to politics, it’s nearly impossible to discuss these matters in a civil way unless those responding are neutral in their beliefs. I cannot see how anyone could reconcile the theories of creation and evolution. If I criticized you unjustly, I apologize for my remark.
