Faith is the solid, unshakable confidence in God, which is built upon the assurance that He is faithful to His promises.
We all get weary at times, but God is still there, and unshakeable.
Have you ever experienced an earthquake? I did, when I lived in Fairbanks, Alaska. It was a scary 30 seconds of my life. Just one of those seconds is enough time to make you realize there is absolutely nothing secure around you! The other 29 seconds, I spent praying. 😂
“We are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, so let us be thankful……” Hebrews 12:28
Then we have those days that feel like an earthquake, in one way or another. Life can seem out of control, unstable, and uncertain. However, God is the exact opposite. Strong. Consistent. Trustworthy. And He is the one who controls today, tonight, and tomorrow. So when I'm feeling a bit off-kilter, I try and remember that while some days may feel shaky and uncertain, I can rest in the arms of a completely unshakable God...and so are His promises.
I know He will help me, one day at a time. He is unchanging, unshakable, and unstoppable. He watches over me day and night, and never sleeps. And with this kind of stability in God, we can grow to have confidence and unshakeable faith, knowing God is no liar, is incapable of lying, and keeps His promise to answer our prayers. He is the anchor to our soul, and shall not be moved during our storms. He is our help and comfort, in times of trouble.
In Him, we build our lives on the promises of God. Because His Word is unbreakable, our hope is unshakable. When you are His, you do not stand on the problems in life, or the occasional pain in life. You stand on the great and precious, everlasting promises, of a covenant-keeping God.
Challenges bring growth and new understanding, so when you're tested, hold on to the One who gives us the faith of the strongest, tallest tree, that will not and cannot be uprooted in this shaky old world, no matter the storm, because "greater is He that is in you (the Holy Spirit), than he (Satan) that is in the world." We might bend and sway a little in the storm, yet in Him, we stand unbreakable, unshakable, and fully capable! Thank you, Jesus!
