In the debate about whether or no god exists, is the burden of proof on the theist to prove he does or the atheist to prove he doesn't? [Spirituality & Religion]

And please, none of this hippy, huggy feel-good bullshit about "neither side has to prove it! just let people believe what they want!"

@lockedupforgood: The problem is some theists want to teach their religion as the factual truth. I don't care what other people believe, but I do care when they start to try to make others believe it or to live according to their god's laws.

@BlondOne89: It is less about God and more about religions. Scrap them rules (for e.g. preaching) and it won't matter whether someone is a theist or not.
It is human nature to convince other people into believing what you believe.
