Hey christians! Let's get this straight: [Spirituality & Religion]

When debating whether or not god exists, the burden of proof is on you to show that god exists.
It is not up to atheists to prove that god DOESN'T exist any more than it is on you to prove that leprechauns don't exist.

I'd like to point out several errors here:

First, we don't dwell on upsetting one specific faith. This is an error of both tact and proper overview.

Second, burden of proof for the believer is not to show the existence of God. It's to show the existence of heaven. And the need to supply this proof never comes into play.

Third, the skeptic also has an onus to prove, and this is apart from burden of proof. It's to construct a deductive argument showing sole correctness and advantage in disbelieving we continue past death by any means.

@Peekaboo:

Why not target one faith? Especially when that is the faith to which the majority of theist users on this site ascribe?

How do you figure?
the skeptic also has an onus to prove,

To prove what? And why should we have to prove the advantage of disbelief? What is advantageous has nothing to do with that is true

@MetalGreymon: I could say "trust me" but you would never buy that. Let's just say that you would be well advised to study various onus systems and to also recognize that you hold a belief.

@Peekaboo:

lol you are correct. That would be insufficient.

@Stereoguy: Thank you. I've studied this topic in depth.

Then can you give me a little more than "trust me" and "look it up yourself" ?
