Why do theists describe the atheist position as "nothing happened to nothing and created everything" as if nothing should be the default position? [Spirituality & Religion]

What makes you assume that nothing is the default state which something must replace? Sure, the bible tells you that in the beginning there was nothing. But what does a bible passage have to do with what atheists believe?

Excellent question. I didn't see THAT one coming.
We KNOW GOD. That is a huge thing for the many to imagine. So, WE the human creations were given life. We were provided with food from the earth and the trees for shelter.
There was merely Gods creation. He commanded them to spread the earth and be fruitful (to multiply)
There were NO Atheist at this time. The Almighty created perfection.
Those as a non believer need not worry. Your time will come. The biblical direction was for followers of the Creator. Simple as that!
@Carla1951: Perfection with a deceiver in the midst. Kind of oxymoronic.
It amazes me that 'billions' of people readily accept that an omniscient being planted noxious weeds in His own garden and experienced remorse and regret because of the results.

I'm very sorry, but i fail to see what your response has to do with the question i asked.
Please clarify

Perhaps I am unable to understand what Atheism has to do with this at all. Simply this so they can argue! They argue there is no afterlife? For what purpose?
The simple fact is, I believe! I accept I am a child of God. I do not know for certain my soul will go to heaven.
It is a matter of time. A WAIT AND SEE

....I don't know where the confusion is coming from.
The stated subject of this thread is questioning the erroneous theist description of the atheist position. so atheism has a lot to do with this lol.

It must be very nice for you to believe you will live on in heaven, but did you have anything to say on the subject at hand?

That I believe in Creation. And that involves the one who created the Earth and the stars and all the others beyond.
I won't take your time to preach. I merely know what THE BOOK states.
Basically it gives us RULES to live by. As any loving parent would have us know.

@Carla1951:

Woof. Let's not get into the loving parent characterization of god. He falls rather short there.
