Do you have a religion or philosophy? [Spirituality & Religion]

You can't just have nothing. it's okay to be an atheist, I am one myself..but I think you need some kind of philosophy on life.

Be happy and live long I suppose. :p
Definitely, we have all types of religions going on. Do they count? Certainly for some, but for me, not in the overall theme of things. Here's why. Salvation is not found in religion(s), as they are man-made philosophies. Man has sin in his life, which separates him from God, therefore, there's no way he can access God, except through Jesus. Let alone, earn or work for his salvation. The key thing to take note on therefore, is that salvation is not found in any religion or any type special rituals or feasts, but in the person of Jesus. He said, "I am the Way, THE Truth, and the Life. No man can come to my Father, but by Me." He's telling us something very important there. Exactly how to get to heaven. By faith in Jesus Christ. It is not just mere believing, but a commitment to follow Christ. Even the devil "believes", and trembles, but he is against God and rebels against God, so his sin keeps him separated from God. That is his choice.
Philosophy: Life Experience, the agony and the Ecstasy, the sharing of Love, to help others when I can. I receive more than I give. It makes me Feel good inside, when I feel good I become healthier and more able to give and share my life experience, more open and accepting to learn from others, theirs. What love is, is what love does. To accept my human emotions and inspire them in others. One life, one road, one time. I don't need a God or religion to live my life as a good man/woman, I just need to learn what being human means to me and to others and try to understand the truth of being Fully Human. 8)

Just for today, be kind to your fellow man and live each moment in the present.

Wise words, thank you.

🤔Everyone should have the freedom to believe what they want or whatever works for the betterment of their character and spirit! As long as it doesn't impose on anyone else's livelihood or beliefs and doesn't leech off nature the way it has by greedy scumbags already, then I don't care who or what anyone is or believes! But, reality says fuck us all!
😕 I didn't know you felt this way.

I believe in God but I don't believe in any religion.

A philosophy won't carry you far- whether you believe in God or not. It's better to know the absolute truth... and to discern right actions within it.

@Michaels1972: We eternally recur; courtesy of how nature operates. And this is a worthwhile existence.

@LucyRocks: okay. Do you subscribe to a certain philosophy?
LoveChild · 26-30, F
@Michaels1972: I trust in reason, and I'm an optimist.

I believe there must be extraterrestrials, but I don't believe in any god. I struggle with concepts of the universe and the Big Bang, and maybe these questions will be answered in time - not my time, but sometime.

I would be interested to hear about your philosophy
Michaels1972 · 51-55, M
I'm basically a Taoist.

Your right and I believe in being a good person.
I do have a philosophy: I try not to hurt others, I usually begin from a position of respecting other people as human beings---they don't have to earn that from me, but that respect is theirs to lose by their own words or behavior. I am fiercely loyal to friends and other loved ones. I can't honestly say that I never judge, but I can know the unvarnished truth about you and still like and respect you.
👊
The most dangerous person is one who believes in nothing. (It may not be verbatim,I don't recall where I read it or the author.) 8)
Unfortunately, some people are misinformed enough to assume that not believing in organized religion is synonymous with not believing in anything.

Why?
We just "are" is my philosophy...
Michaels1972 · 51-55, M
