No such thing as truth. Never has been. Your truth isn't anyone else's.
@Richard65 Of course, the violence nor any conversion matters. It's the relevation that counts.

@GeretJan there is no truth in revelation. There's only faith, it's the bedrock of all Abrahamic religions and faith is defined as belief without evidence. If you know it to be true then you have no need of faith (faith only exists in the presence of doubt as it counteracts doubt) and your theological house of cards comes crashing down.
@Richard65 There is truth in revelation when comes to it without the knowledge.

This couldn't be more apt in todays world.

@jshm2 Thank you for your own analysis. No, not everyone can be a Christian.

I' a Father Brown Fan,but,When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.🤔

@GeretJan Wait...who told you of my chessic tendencies🤔

sigh😓 wayy beyond my coffee level RN...ever see John Lennox..the author and online debtor knew Lewis,as a teacher
@bookerdana Oh yes, Sam, I know of you. Have a big file laying on my desk. Yes, I know of John Lennox too. Admirable thinker. Defended truth in Oxford. I like his debate with Richard Dawkins but I find that Rowan Williams got Dawkins drilling even deeper for oil.

@GeretJan Lennox loosened the jar😄
If you want truth, test. Truth demands testing.
@BlueSkyKing If you think so. Not everyone has the same opinion.

What about the truth that Ratzinger protected child rapists?
@Fukfacewillie Thank you for your contribution.
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
@GeretJan I wasn’t being rhetorical, though. Your source accepts child rape.
@Fukfacewillie Look, I quite the Roman Catholic Church because of it. But I'm not going to throw away the baby with the bathwater either. In essence, the idea was to talk about theology. You know that his brother actually was at the head of a famous choir in Germany that had schools where abuse was happening? The Church as an institution did do wrong.

I prefer to go with what can be demonstrated empirically.
@Creaky That's your truth then. Not my idea because it doesn't my experiences nor revelation.

@GeretJan 😄
But whose truths? My truths are undoubtedly different from Ratzinger's. Whose prevails, mine or his?
@LeopoldBloom What tells your own revelation about that then?
