No the brain is not where our thoughts come from. But the spirit / soul dwells within the brain which makes it appears as so.

No, the spirit does not dwell within the brain. The spirit is not inside the body at all, but instead surrounds the body on the outside. Seeing someone's aura is seeing someone's spirit energy which is only ever found outside that person's body, not inside the person's brain.

I never said the brain was doing the thinking I said the spirit / soul does the thinking and it dwells within the brain.
Smash the brain open the spirit / soul has no no place to continue to live, so it leaves it departs and goes back to God who gave it.
Then I am one that believes that the spirit / soul is invisible you can't see it you can't touch it. not in this world.

The brain is the design to control all the functions of the body, therefore the spirit has to reside there to execute that control.
Once brain dead, the spirit can no longer function to control the brain which controls the body, so the spirit returns to God who gave it in the body goes back to the dust of the Earth.
And the same applies to the body once unrepairable damage is done to certain parts of the body, especially that of the heart, liver, lungs, which are essential to the function of the body / blood the brain cannot continue to operate these things that they work and the spirit / soul has to leave the body.
