Have you ever taken a pilgrimage?
You might have your own reasons for it, something you just had to do, for understanding or adoration, but you had the drive to do it!

I walked. . . 45 miles in the dead of night in the middle of winter wearing only shorts and a sweatshirt; to my place of "worship" in the woods (adirondacks means "bark eater" to my native American ancestors). It was where i felt most comfortable. I made an offering to my understanding of "Our great creator"(mother earth). Burning incense and kneeling while offering myself as tribute. Is that a "pilgrimage"?
