@SparkleLeaf That sometimes describes me.

Even the original blog doesn't link to that landmark study, doesn't mention its name, nor the name of the researcher, making it very difficult to check that out for ourselves. Isn't that convenient? I guess we just have to take the word of someone who's made it his whole life to push the young earth theory that some undisclosed research supports that idea, huh?
I mean, just taking someone's word is what religion is all about, but when you get this specific, you should do better.

@NerdyPotato Or at least take Journalism 101 to avoid making such horrible mistakes when trying to convince someone of something.
Facts and science only matter if there is actual proof of work, study, and peer reviewed work. Otherwise, it is just fiction. Much like another book, actually...

Listening to Jay Sean singing 'Down', always reminds me of the story Chicken Licking or Chicken Little elsewhere in the world anyway here we are with the preacher preaching that the sky is falling down.
Spoiler: It's just an acorn!

I don't put my trust in the words of men but in the Word of God
Such as?
My testimonies line up with the Word of God, what do your claims line up with?
• denies the pre-Greek quality of Ancient Hebrew thinking and expression, • denies scholarship,
I don't put my trust in the words of men but in the Word of God
• worries about issues which God sweeps aside at the end of Job (ch 38),
Such as?
• seeks to make claims on behalf of God & the Bible which are extra-textual and thus attempts to change the Word.
My testimonies line up with the Word of God, what do your claims line up with?

lol
1) Which version of the Word? There is a reason that
RSV -> NRSV -> NRSVUE
2) The Word of God is not the words of God.
3) You don't understand basic facts about the Bible, including the differences in the world views of the Ancient Hebrews and the Ancient Greeks. We live in a culture built upon the latter, and you need to understand the difference.
4) The misuse of "inspiration" to try to claim the Bible is a science text is a modern innovation. The Bible makes no such claims, and the vision of the creatio ex nihilo which opens Genesis would be how an observer in, say, ca. 1850 BC/BCE would have looked at it. Had, e.g., Stephen Hawking or Neil deGrasse Tyson, been the observer, we might have a bit more insight.
5) We are created in the image of God, meaning our minds/intellects must be part of that gift. There is a reason that Jews consider study to be a form of worship.
6) You make a false dichotomy (Bible or science) by intentional misreading. I have tried to ask again how God creating the law which govern Creation is a threat, but you simply won't answer.
But if you ARE Christian: Concentrate on the Gospels, which embody the clearest revelation of the Nature of God which Christians can find recorded in the Bible. There is more than enough great material there.

LOL, a creationist calling an evolutionist a believer in fairy tales. That's gold Jerry.
ImperialAerosolKidFromEP · 51-55, M
@MoveAlong he probably got the idea from evolutionists. As they've demonstrated time and time again,vyou don't like something, just call it a fairy tale and *poof* it's a fairy tale

God still hasn’t overcome the obstacles of evidence.
It’s his own fault, once per people stopped being afraid of him, actual truth began to matter

God has created all the evidence we'll need to see His wonderful work of creation. You're just not looking hard enough, Doc.
