The "proof of God" we seek, is in the experience.

I never knew that, until I actually experienced the Lord.

I wanted to give my life to the Lord and I did, with all my heart and mind, and that's what made all the difference. When I love someone, I love them with all my heart, not half...that's not really love.

Although I knew there was a God and that he was real and alive, I was absolutely shocked when the Holy Spirit came to me and I felt His presence after I had prayed. I wasn't expecting such an interaction. I didn't know all the details of what had taken place when God interacted with me when I prayed, but that's not necessary. I did know, however, that God did touch me and saved me, at my request. It was so amazing to me, and I'm still in awe of the fact that the God of this whole universe heard my prayer and listened to me. As He will, anyone who wants to find him, as promised.

It is important to remember one thing when it comes to giving our lives to God. We don't go by feelings. We go by God's promises to save us. Each one will have a different experience when they interact with God. It is just as real and genuine. The devil would have us believe that we must feel something in order to know that we are saved, but that is a lie. We know we are saved because God always keeps his promises and he is not willing that anyone miss heaven. He promises to save each and everyone who comes to him for salvation. That's what we go by, not feelings. Feelings can be fickle at times, but the promises of God are strong, mighty, and everlasting.

God says to search for him with all your heart and mind and he will come to you and reveal himself to you and it was only after I was saved on July 21st, 1973, that I started studying my Bible, as my spirit was thirsty for the Word and to find out more about God, and I learned that it was the Holy Spirit that had come to me and transformed my whole life, the very second I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior.

The moment I gave my heart and life to Jesus, He sent his Holy Spirit to join my spirit, and caused my Spirit come alive in Christ. I was transformed instantly, just as anyone is, when God's Holy Spirit touches their spirit, and when that happens, you cannot help but be changed and our hearts then, can feel God's love, peace, and joy.

That is the whole purpose of the Holy Spirit, to help us recognize we have sinned and need Jesus, then we ask Him for forgiveness, and then the Holy Spirit comes to us as our Great Comforter and constant guide in life. It is then that we are united with God in fellowship and harmony. Our sins can no longer condemn us and we are counted as righteousness before God, because of what Jesus did for us on the cross in paying for our sins. We are now in right standing with God the Father. We can enter heaven without dragging our sins in.

It is the role and purpose of the Holy Spirit to teach us the things about God, and it's only then, when God's spirit joins ours, that we can then begin to understand what we're reading in the Bible, because it is the Holy Spirit teaching us the "things of the Spirit", and only He can do that. No one can possibly know nor understand that, until they actually experience an interaction with God.

God comes to each of us in a different way, so we must not compare our experiences. However it is the promise of God that if you want him in your life then he will definitely come to you and abide with you, no matter who you are. Just know that when you give your heart and life to Jesus, it is then that He can come and fellowship with you. You don't force your way into other people's lives, do you? Well God is the same. He doesn't want to force his presence on you and so he waits and waits for you, because he loves you with all his heart and soul. He is not willing that any perish because of the condemnation that sin placed on them. He came into the world to love us and show us the way and to help us; not to condemn the world, but to save it.

Spirit knows spirit....period! And so then, we can only understand the things of the spirit, when we unite our hearts and lives with Christ's Spirit. Therefore, the "proof" of God is actually in the experience. That's why many don't understand the things of God, and therefore, think of the things of God, as foolishness the Bible says, because they have not yet experienced God, nor have they given their heart to him, so naturally they're not going to understand the things of God. That's okay because we all have to learn, but I was so shocked when the Holy Spirit touched my heart and soul and transformed my whole life for the better. He will do the same for you. It is his promise.

In the Bible, 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, "But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned".

This verse explains that people who are not spiritual, or unbelieving, consider the teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God to be foolish and illogical. They are unable to understand these teachings, because they must be spiritually discerned and appreciated. Therefore, they can only be discerned, when our spirit has joined with the Spirit of God, which teaches all things of God.

The Holy Spirit is with us always, and never leaves those who have invited Jesus into their hearts and lives. He never turns any of us away. The Bible reminds us that we are all in the same spiritual boat... in need of a Savior. We can see that from the world we live in and the evil thereof. But there's always room at the cross for one more. Jesus waits for you.

LadyGrace,I have experienced the Lord a few times.I have also heard his audible small voice saying follow me,follow me in 2019 or early 2020.It was like coming from within me.I experienced instant healing too after kneeling down praying in 2022 I got up to my bed n resting and a few minutes later all the pain totally gone. The Lord has taught me through his word.I have been reminded to be mindful of my mouth.Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits..as I like to talk nonsense sometimes 😅and during March this year 2024 I had a dream hearing this loud man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
@Teachocolate This really brought tears to my eyes because it is the total truth of God. Suffering brings good things and helps us learn so many things, especially gratitude for what we have and thankfulness for the Lord in our life and what he has done for us and what he does for us. It helps us grow in patience, perseverance, character, humility, strength, hope and faith. Just the reminder of all these things fills my heart with years of joy and thanksgiving to the Lord.

@LadyGrace 100% agreed.I have experienced it LadyGrace. This experience has humbled me..and also has built my patience/understanding for others. When I started to go to church in Dec 2018/2019 I cried the whole year during worshipping ..on n off..just like being cleansed 😂some asking if I am ok n I have to keep telling them I am ok I am not depressed😂
@Teachocolate I'm really sorry to hear that some didn't believe you, but you know scripture says that what people don't understand they criticize. And some have no understanding of God's word because many have not studied it and it does take the Holy Spirit to interpret scripture for us and the Bible said that's why some think of it as foolishness.

My Experience was kinda weird at first, but I think you already know my story couple of years ago.

Experiencing Ghosts when I was a Teenager and hanging around them made me think there is a God.

I didn't knew spirits were real when I was in Highschool.

It started from there. I've staring to notice those falling spirits as 'Ghost" wasn't a good Idea through experience.

And I already know there is a God.

And I realize Jesus is God latter on in my early 20's and decided to give my life to Jesus by repenting.

Just by questioning any believes and use my consciousness trying to know who God is through the Bible.

@LadyGrace thank you sis!!! C: ((((Hugs))))
Amen sister, I particularly loved the way you described when you first believed on Christ, what an experience that is for all of us!
@BritishFailedAesthetic I hope I explained things well enough. It's very hard to understand the things of the spirit until you cross over into that spirit world with the Lord. Only then can we understand the things of the Lord as the Holy Spirit reveals them to us, and only then. Otherwise, we really don't have an inkling of how real the spirit world is and God, until we actually have that experience in the Lord. I could have never guessed that would have happened but it sure did and I'll never forget it as long as I live. It says if it happened yesterday. Still fresh in my mind and still just as awesome and amazing as the day it happened.

In the Bible, 1 Corinthians 2:14 says, "But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned".
What things did he save you from ? if you don't mind me asking
@nothereforpeople Thank you for this question. I don't mind you're asking at all. When Jesus saves our soul, he saves us from the condemnation that sin placed on all of us. We can't drag our sins into heaven, the Bible makes that clear, but when we acknowledge that we do have sins and ask Jesus to forgive us, he is more than willing to do so. He is not willing that any should miss heaven.

He has been so good to me through all the years that I have known him as my Savior. He has helped me in numerous ways, including saving my daughter from dying when the doctors gave up on her and told her she would be dead in a week. Prayer does work and God does hear. I have a post on that under my profile which I would be glad to give you the pictures and testimony if you would like.

God has been there for me in my darkest moments and he always hears our prayers. He helped me walk again and he also helped me when I had blood clots in my leg and the doctors were amazed that they were just gone. He didn't heal me because I was more special than anyone else. Anyone can turn to Jesus. He also helped us find our granddaughter, when she was kidnapped and missing for about 4 days. God does lead and guide us. I have depended on his guidance through all the years and he has never let me down. That doesn't mean I get everything I want like a spoiled child. But it does mean that he gives me my needs and takes good care of me. He loves everyone the same. Not one above the other and he's always waiting for us to come to him. He died to save the whole world, not just some. He turns no one away.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to PROSPER you and NOT to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE." Jer. 29:11

Here's another true testimony, this was my pastor. He has gone on to heaven now.

It sounds like you will be saved. God's promises, not glitchy, unreliable feelings about him. Feelings infected by sin.
@Alyosha Thank you, but not just me. Jesus came to save the whole world, not just some. He loves everyone the same. Anyone can be saved. If that is what they want. Anyone who accepts Jesus as their personal Savior is saved the moment they come to him and ask him to save them.
