Spiritual Warfare #6 - Demons & Deliverance

Christians have the power and authority through Jesus to be completely free from demonic oppression/possession. Dr. Odle teaches about the importance of deliverance and why it should be normal for the modern church.

Remember in Matthew when the disciples couldn't exercise one and so brought him to Jesus to be exercised? Then they asked why they couldn't do it. And Jesus accused them of not having enough faith.

Seems weird that this group who was already exercising demons from people suddenly didn't have enough faith during one of these times.

It was also said that if a person has faith, whole mountains could be moved. Last I checked, not a single mountain has moved on the face of this Earth. And you would think many would have tried by now.

@froggtongue

The disciples were not perfect so their faith waxed and waned, but Jesus also said these come out only
by prayer and fasting which the disciples were not doing.

I have trouble with the mountain scenario; I think it seems so impossible to believe that it could be done
that people just didn't have 100% faith in order to do it and that is why there is no record of it occuring.

@froggtongue …not everything that happens can be “checked”on google by us…there are people of great faith ( few and far in between but..) on Earth right now. You or I can never “check” them… Plus, many if not most regular people are in pride and vanity even though they have faith and are Christian. Any such huge miracle can ensure their fall due to pride and ego… I doubt God will move any mountains 🏔️ for them..
@ArcAngel I'm pretty sure the disciples were already casting out demons before that one scenario. And when one does a job constantly, doesn't it happen that one becomes more confident in doing the job again? Sure, nobody is perfect. But that just doesn't seem likely to have happened that way.

Seems impossible by you, oh ye of little faith. But there are so many people in the world. It just takes one person to have moved it for it to be done.

I'm really glad to see you commenting. My sense is that you are female; am I
correct?
SW-User
@froggtongue …it works not on confidence but on faith. No faith - no casting out. Confidence is ego , not faith in God
@SW-User The god of the Old Testament berated Job for thinking he was doing everything right. Yet he was still said to have been blameless. The god there will do whatever he wants, regardless of rhyme or reason.

@froggtongue

Like I said, the disciples were not praying and fasting and i would like to
meet that one person who has 100% faith and could move that mountain.
SW-User
@froggtongue ….when antichrist arrives there will be mountain moving “miracles”. But fake. By hologram. “Mountains” will be “moving” that are not even there 😆Anyone seeking miracles and not God, will fall for them
@ArcAngel No. I don't blame you for thinking that though. Though it does indicate that I'm male next to my name, there are several here who are female and yet have that indicator in order to attract less unwanted attention.
SW-User
@ArcAngel yes. Female
SW-User
@froggtongue …its better to be berated on earth ( where repentance for salvation still works) … to realize where you are getting it wrong in your faith then correct it and be purified on earth, then sit in hell ( where you can no
longer use repentance to get out) with that pride asking why God didn’t berate you while the repentance and prayer for salvation was still possible on earth
@SW-User Okay. I'll grant that the two are different; faith and confidence. It would then lead exactly to the scenario being discussed. Perhaps even always so. So for that, it would be kind of a limited time that any could perform such actions.

Also, does that mean Jesus wasn't confident and he was doing all that on faith that his god would follow thru on it? 🤔
@ArcAngel I'm sorry. I seem to have answered the question you asked @SW-User about being female.
SW-User
@froggtongue Jesus is God —- the Life and Living energy of everything and everyone. Your soul, my soul… is alive because of Him. Our souls are eternal because He is eternal and the soul is like an extension of Him ( His Breath, energy) He does everything out of Love not confidence. Confidence has to do with having an ego and strengthening it… Confidence is faith in self, not God. Like satan constantly dictates “ believe in YOURself” meaning away from God.
@SW-User how much of this are you basing from the xtian's bible?
SW-User
@froggtongue well, when Jesus said “you are Gods” meant our souls are “extensions” of Him… thats why souls can not die, He is eternal. Knowing that (…and that therefore life in hell will be eternal cause the soul is…) He came to save us… bring us back. Had Adam and Eve not bitten into the apple ( collaborated with devil willingly) we would never die but ascend to Heaven like He did. But we earned the physical death of our bodies and hell ( created originally only for demons) willingly ( using free will) ;collaborating with them we go there with them. He came, died, Resurrected for anyone who is willing ( using their free will) to come back to the original state of creation , being pure. It took the sin free God to take on the corrupt human flash with all the sins, crucify it winning over it ( living a sinless life in the fully human body —completing His mission…successfully, so to speak.)And because Jesus Christ did it He is the Door to Heaven… only through Him its possible to come back.By becoming God in human flash ( 100% pure God at the same time 100%human . He linked/joined the two back) He restored the link that was broken between the perfect Father God and completely fallen human nature again. For those who want it (free will). He can’t save people against their will. Thats why hell is full, not because He punishes people. They did not want it. Confidence (believing in self, relying on self (no need for God, being godless)) is anti faith in God … contrary to believing God and relying on Him.

I am very impressed with your interpretations and i look foward to you commenting in the future and I am glad that you are commenting now.
SW-User
@ArcAngel uumm…Idk. I am not much of a commentator , or anything else at all. Once in a blue moon I kinda drop by… sometimes.

@SW-User

Well I hope you will do more in the future; you are right on!
@SW-User That's a lot of extrapolations from things not directly mentioned from the bible. Sure, you can have your hypothesizes. But you're definitely adding much more on than what's already being written.

Let me just address the part of Adam and Eve dying. They were already going to die at some point. They only ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then the god pushed them out because he didn't want them to eat from the tree of life, or else they would become like gods like he was.
SW-User
No, Adam and Eve were disease free, death free and aging free@froggtongue Meaning never getting old, never dying. Jesus Christ showed what would have happened to us had we not sinned. We would just ascend to Heaven at a certain age. We gained physical death, disease, getting old and suffering by listening to/collaborating/following directions of the devil. He lied. He promised “you will be like God” knowing we would start dying (cause he himself got kicked out of heaven for wanting to take Gods place, so he wished us the same fate..) Eve bought into that.
@SW-User Then why was there a Tree of Life in the garden? What was the point? And why did that god say that if they were to eat of it, they would be like god(s)? That was what this god had said.
Genesis 3, verse 22 "And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.""
SW-User
@froggtongue God did not push them out, He offered them confession/repentance on the spot by asking “Where are you”, but having fell by then they lost trust and faith in God and hid from Him in fear/shame (they became us...how we are now) Being this fallen...you can’t remain in a Holy garden like Eden. So, God knew that later on people will have a chance to come back through Jesus Christ and through Him be purified and reunited.
