Why Is Atheism So Important?

What good will atheism do when it's only a temporary condition?
It offers no hope for those who claim to be its follower; as a matter of fact, it takes away hope from those who need to have hope. It's a wonder why we have so many suicides.
It'll never win against the Truth of God being that it's a lie from the very beginning knowing that no lie can win out against the Truth of God.
Those who claim to follow it refuse to support it giving the lame excuse that they don't have to support it. Why? Do they know deep in their hearts that it really is a lie? If that is so, why do they keep following it? Do they really hate God that much?
Atheism is for the dead and not the living. As Jesus said in Luke 20:38, "For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”
Understand, I'm seeking answers and not arguments.

You are right! Atheism is a temporary condition, because when all, and I mean all people on earth stand before Christ, as promised in the Bible, on Judgment Day, they won't be atheists anymore. They will see the Truth, face to face.

Hey, one can hope!

Hope in what?
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@GodSpeed63 "Hope" doesn't have to mean Faith, it can mean I hope all the Religious whackos end up being taken up in the Rapture!

Didn't WildEcho tell you, religious wackos will not make it in the Rapture. You'll still have them wandering around. The Rapture is for those who are True Believers in Christ.
@spjennifer Your poster doesn't bother me at all, but your attitude does. You don't realize your own prejudice. Really nice way to treat people. 🙄 Yeh. And you point at us. Real nice.

@GodSpeed63 & @LadyGrace Rightttt, "Don't stop believing" 🎶 that's a song by the way, it's not meant to be a theme song... 😵‍💫
@spjennifer yep and you just keep being the sweet personality you are.

@LadyGrace I have spent the vast majority of my adult life saving and protecting the lives of others as a Medic, Nurse and a ParaRescue Jumper and yes, on occasion I've had to take life in order to do that. I have been to Somalia, Rwanda, been present when mass graves of thousands of women and children slaughtered in the name of Religion were dug up in Bosnia. I've seen the killing fields in Cambodia and the death camps in Germany and Poland and truly know what evil is so you'll forgive me if I struggle with believing in your gawd or any gawd for that matter. I know you'll blame Man for doing those evil things to other Men but how does a gawd like yours who is supposedly omnipotent allow those things to happen, often in his name, even with "free will"?
@spjennifer One thing we're not, are puppets on a string. God didn't make us to be robots and that's why he gave us free will, to know right from wrong. God is fair. That is his character and nature . Sin is not fair and leads to death every time , especially spiritual death until our sins are forgiven and thank God we have him to forgive us and give us a way out to escape hell, or we would all go to hell. How would we like that alternative? Hell is very real and I pray no one goes there and God definitely wants no one to go there. That's why he pleaded with everyone when he preached during his time, to please come to him so they could be saved. All these things are horrible that you mentioned, absolutely atrocious and so sad, but God no more caused that, then the man in the Moon. He didn't take a sword and slash people's throats nor shoot them. What if I robbed a bank and then blamed you, would that be your fault? Would that be fair to you? This is what happens when man does not even believe in God, nor cares. Evil abounds. Think about this.... God's mission was not to right every wrong. If everything was always all good, we would learn nothing. We learn and grow from our mistakes. God does not follow us around to make sure we don't make mistakes. He came to do something so much more important and that is to save and rescue our very souls from hell.

We definitely can't overlook the fact that if God fixed every wrong, exactly where that would end? If he fixed one thing, then he would have to fix another and then another and another and what would happen when we wished someone dead or hated them? What if he fixed that wrong? He never interferes with free will. He doesn't leave us to guess. He tells us what works and what doesn't and of course if we do what doesn't work, there's going to be consequences. If you tell a child don't you go out in that street or you're going to get killed, and there's one day when you weren't looking and that child went out in the street and got hit by a car and killed, would that be your fault? No. God did not come to put a Band-Aid on everything. He did something that we could not do which makes it the most important thing in the world, to save souls because eternity is an awfully long time to get it wrong.

There are man-made laws and there are spiritual laws. When they are not obeyed, then yes there is going to be consequences and if somebody goes out and kills somebody else and the judge sentences them to death, that judge is being fair. How much more fair and just, is a God who is perfect in every way. If there was no punishment, we wouldn't learn, and we would keep doing the same things over and over again. Man would destroy himself. Boundaries were made for our own stability and for our own good. What God asks us all to do, is not hard. Who did the hard part, by dying on the cross to save us from our sins. All we have to do is acknowledge our own sins and ask God to forgive us which brings us right back into good standing and fellowship with him. But no. Man is too prideful and doesn't want to admit he is sinful. And don't think that evil people who kill other people go on punished. The laws of God says that we reap what we sow. These people think that they get away with it but they don't.

@LadyGrace We'll just have to agree to disagree, you're not going to convince me and I"m not trying to convince you either.
@spjennifer ❤🤗 Sounds fair.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
@LadyGrace I don't mind debating with reasonable people, which you appear to be, but there does come a point where it's pointless for both to continue on, glad you understand 😊
@spjennifer Absolutely! 🌹🤗 Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Thanks for being kind in your replies. This is the way it's supposed to be done. I wish others would follow suit. There's no need to argue.
