Believing In Evolution Is Dangerous

Evolution never happened; God already established that He created the Heavens and the Earth. Believing in evolution can't change that. Debates should be discussed on other subjects and not on God and His Word. God has proven Himself to mankind through His Word and His work. Man can never change what God has already established even before the foundations of the Earth.

The universe has a beginning and therefore requires a cause of energy in the universe and people say, "Well, you know God made the universe, but then who made God?" God is eternal. He doesn't have a beginning and therefore doesn't require a cause, and that may be a little bit hard to grasp, but there's nothing irrational about an eternal being; there is something irrational about something popping into existence from nothing [evolution], because that violates cause.

@LadyGrace God made the universe that includes us. We, like the universe, have a beginning. Are you saying that God is eternal but we are not?
@sree251 Our souls are definitely eternal. What God's word says is that he gave us our beginning. Without God giving us that beginning we would not be eternal because he breathed into us a living soul...

Genesis 2:7 "Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living soul."
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace Are you saying that the living soul comes from God just like water of the ocean of divinity filling cups made from dust of the ground?
@sree251 Whos philosophy is that?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace Nobody's. I was just rephrasing, in my own words, what you told me.
@sree251 Hardly. You put words in my mouth. I said nothing about "just like water of the ocean of divinity filling cups made from dust of the ground?" I don't play these games. What you're trying to do is disprove God and put him in your own box of theory.
@sree251 what you're trying to pass off on me is Eastern theology
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace And what theology is yours? Middle-Eastern? Here in America, Christian theology is pretty white and woke. You can blame cancel culture for that.

I have no theology but I do have the truth from God's own Word that I live by. He is no liar and is trustworthy. I don't know what this "woke" business is. White?, you say? Color has nothing to do with salvation. It's open to everyone and anyone.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace Woke is Episcopalian, an inclusive theology that rejects a patriarchal God figure. And what is your concept of God, LadyGrace?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@sree251
Woke is Episcopalian, an inclusive theology that rejects a patriarchal God figure.
Why?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 It's the way the west is these days. The God principle is neither male nor female to progressive folks. Traditional Christianity is regarded by them as conservative and backward.

So, what does God say about Himself and His Word?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 God speaks to each of us from within only when you are receptive. I am always receptive. God is life itself which is what I am, what we all are.
@sree251 I am happy to hear that you are always receptive to God.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace You have no idea how receptive I am. Mine is a life of a hermit. I gave up everything - my career, my family, all my friends - to remove any distraction in my life. My life is empty of everything that people fill their lives with to drown out the presence of God. Emptiness is not what people want. They get bored. Emptiness makes people feel bored and frightened. Silence scare them.
@sree251 but my friend, that is not necessary. God doesn't expect us to live a hard life without companionship. That's why He gave Adam, his wife, Eve. God's Word even says we are living in the world, but we don't have to be of the world, meaning taking part in sinful things, but that doesn't mean we can't have friends and family. God is for family. He even instituted marriage.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace Well, I have always gone all the way to be the best I can be at anything I do. Spirituality is not a hobby, a pastime. You can't have it both ways. It's either this world of distraction, or the other of total commitment.

I am not trying to convince you that mine is the only way. As I said, he who travels two roads goes nowhere.
@sree251 well maybe you may not consider that I've gone all the way but I know in my heart that I have gone all the way for Christ and I always have since I was saved on July 21st, 1973. Total commitment on my part. Maybe it doesn't match with yours, but I know in my heart that I made a total commitment and I have kept that commitment to this day and I will always do that. I don't have one foot in the world and the other with Christ. I live in the world but I am not of it. God didn't say in His Word that there was anything wrong with marriage. I'm not married but I'm just saying. I am widowed, but I did not sin by marrying in the first place. God knows I give him my full heart and dedication that's all that matters. He knows I give him my very best. I don't go out and sleep with other people and immorally sin against him in this way. I walk as close to the Lord as I can. I'm fully aware it's not a past time or hobby. And God knows I've never taken it that way. My motto is you either commit to Christ all the way, or not at all, and I have. I'm not double-minded. We're not to judge others. I have always said and believe with all my heart and soul that the key to salvation is total commitment to God. God doesn't demand that we become a hermit or live alone in the mountains in order to be considered faithful. The whole world will not live like this, not even the purest of other Christians. God knows I give my all.

My question to you would be, are you following Christ for the right reasons? Do you believe that by shutting yourself off from everything you are working your way to heaven? Do you believe you have to earn your way to heaven? The Bible doesn't say that and so works are in vain. Works are in vain without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit which is the gift given to us by God after receiving his son Jesus into our hearts and lives. That's what His Word says. Salvation is never based on our performance. God said so and if you follow him all the way and are totally committed as you say, then you will believe what He said in His Word.

@sree251
God speaks to each of us from within only when you are receptive.
That's not what I asked.
sree251 · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 You asked: "So, what does God say about Himself and His Word?"

And I said that God speak to each of us from within privately. He is not some mega personality speaking to the multitude in a loud voice from Heaven. God is like a bespoke tailor catering to each soul according to its circumstance. He is like a therapist who charges six hundred bucks an hour. His treatment is special and not off the counter that works for every son of a gun.
@sree251 I think you meant to say he's NOT like some therapist who charges $600 an hour.
@sree251 So tell me, do you live alone in the mountains or somewhere where you are cut off from society?
sree251 · 41-45, M
@LadyGrace I meant to say that each of us is a stream on it own unique path to the ocean.
@sree251 I'm not on a stream or unique path to the ocean. I know what you're trying to say and get at, but I have already found my way and right path. While others have not, I understand that. However, God said in His Word that not all paths lead to eternal life in heaven. Being God, he would know better than anyone else how to get to heaven and He said there's only one way to get to heaven, and that is according to His plan of salvation and it's in place for a reason. It works. Father God did not give mankind permission nor the authority to change his plan of salvation for the world. One day they will see that.
