Sometimes logic over-rides proof.
Our intelligence was given to us (no, I have not proof, but it seems evident??). We use that intelligence to interpret our surroundings: 1/ for safety; 2/ for finding foods that don't harm us; 3/ to absorb the beauty in the world; and 4/ especially so we can appreciate other beings for their intentions and efforts.
None of these things is 'scientific'.
But: If you believe in a Creator then logically that intelligence was given to us by the Creator which infers that through the applicantion of our intelligence, we will 'discover' facts about our existence and those facts must relate back to the creation that put us here. So: Yes, science points to the Creator who, for most people, is "God."

@JollyRoger Reading your comment makes some sense. The only part I cant figure is whether, after each "Great Dying" (The last being the dinosaurs) when each new food chain arose, there wasnt a god of the T Tex or whatever was at the top..I mean this time out "intelligence" has put us at the top..But that might not the final word. If nuclear war doesnt get us there is always polltion, global warming or something as silly as microplastics making us infertile.. So, do you think the cockroaches will have a god??😷

@whowasthatmaskedman If cockroaches have the intelligence to think beyond their instincts, then they may have a god if they need one - they definitely have a Creator.
As for the time-lapse from the Bible to our time: The Bible says the world was created in 6 days and then God rested. What isn't explained is that God may not have the same 'time-clock' or calendar as we use. This follows through when after the Armagheddon the dead will rise to be judged..... (I believe) that truly is the day when our souls will be judged... in the meanwhile all the dead peoples' souls are wandering around communing with each other and (sometimes) us but we can't see them - we might 'feel' them from time to time (??). But they are not yet in 'Heaven' - despite what churches say.

@JollyRoger I can respect your beliefs without sharing them..My point regarding cockroaches was that in all the five great dyings the planet has had, this is the first time intelligence has emerged as a factor in our rise up the food chain. Indeed, independent of the possible existence of any diety, we are the first creatures to have the imagination to conceive of one.. putting that aside..I pick the cockcoach simply as a survivor. As our ancestors were after the catastophe that killed of the great dino era..
But back to god. I am afraid I dont buy this "its not for us to judge" and"God moves in mysterious ways" when it comes to the human evil and cruelty we visit on each other and have since an ape thought it a great idea to pick up a rock and bash another apes head in with it. any sane omnipitant being is going to show up, break up the fight and in a voice like thunder yell at everyone to play nice.. Its very like humans to make things up, stretch the truth or intrepret for their own purposes..So I see how all the different Judeo Christian franchises sprang up, But in the end, any responsible god would have shown up for the big events. The sacking of Rome. The hundred years war.. World War 1. Or 2, with the holocaust and Hioshima built in.. With every disease outbreak like the Plague, or Spanish flu or Covid, or every village buried in a landslide, or maybe moved an iceberg out of the way of the Titanic.. The list is endless. But he didnt show up once and yell "Now cut that out" So if god does exist and thats the kind of guy he is, I dont think he deserves our worship. We certainly dont seem to mean a lot to him..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I dislike doing this, but: If you go to my profile and read my last few postings on this topic you'll notice that I do not assign any 'task' to God, i.e., that He has made us creatures of 'free-will' and that in a time of His choosing, he will end the world and we will be judged by Him. There may be many more plagues, wars, family fights and other miseries in the intervening epochs (no other way to measure it).
As you assign intelligence as arising only after the death of the dinosaurs, you are guessing! No, I have no proof - but nobody has met or communicated with a dinosaur, so I think I can postulate that: Humans are an arrogant and a presumptive species - we assign values and traits to others as we rationalize - sometimes with very little evidence - the study of prehistoric animal activity being one (for fun: remember when the paleontologists went knowlegeably on for years with the skulll of a brontosaurus-type dinosaur on its tail end?). Then: If we are the intelligent species on this earth - why do we kill each other? We are the only species that plans and executes that activity!! There is much room in our brains for bettering our species. And... we search for extra-terrestrial life while we ruin our own habitat - all for the ephemeral pursuit of a pile of metal (gold - or worse these days: bitcoin). Are we really as intelligent as we profess? Cannot God be laughing at our antics, our suppositions and our horrendous disrespect for each other? He's probably having difficulties figuring out if any of our souls are worth saving into an after-life.

@JollyRoger God or whatever you call this energy/entity, is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. God is science. It encompasses chemistry, biology, physics and metaphysics. We are made in the image of God. Image here doesn't mean physical but spiritual image. That is why some of the chemical components of the universe is found in our genes or DNA etc...God and human beings are very complexed to understand. You have to go through every science and understand well these sciences and their correlation to understand God and us.

@naoseen I certainly have no argument against what you say! Of course we're composed of the chemicals of the universe - God made it that way; and if you think about it, our mothers eat the food that is found on the earth so what they ingest is transferred into our bodies. ibid for the materials that make up our fathers' sperm. Notably: God made the Earth before He created man. I like your clarification that we are made in God's 'spiritual image.'
