There are no past lives... We have one life to live and then the judgement...
siddhikoli · 26-30, F
@Adstar Yes i know 😊
chilloutab2 · 46-50, M
@Adstar Whatever judgement happens, happens in this life itself.... it's called consequences for actions.
Adstar · 56-60, M
@chilloutab2 Sometimes people pay a penalty in this life for their transgressions, Sometimes people get away with their transgressions in this world and pay no penalty for them.. People have murdered other people and then lived a life without facing any prison time.. So your wrong,, consequences for ones actions does not always happen in this world..
But one thing can be known for sure.. If one is unforgiven by God for their transgressions in this world then they will face the eternal consequences on the day of judgement for their sins..

@Adstar If you're saying legal justice is the only consequence for transgressions... then... that's extremely low-resolution spiritual thinking.
But yes, if your belief gives you purpose and keeps you on the path of right action, then that belief is useful for you... that still does not make it the universal truth, though.

@chilloutab2 Psychopaths in this world have no remorse for their transgressions against others.. They have no compassion.. So they do not suffer any non-legal consequences for their actions.. My thinking is Higher Resolution their yours..
My beliefs gain for me justified forgiveness from God and therefore eternal life in His perfect eternal existence.. But i can understand why you are so focused on the here and now in this world because your Low resolution spiritual thinking does not rise about the here and now..
Your ""universal truth"" in this world is Not universal and so is not the truth..

Your ""universal truth"" in this world is Not universal and so is not the truth..
Nobody's is... including yours or mine. That's exactly my point!

@chilloutab2 Well your point is wrong.. Simple as that your wrong..
chilloutab2 · 46-50, M
@Adstar I just agreed with your point... and now you say that point is wrong!!
Adstar · 56-60, M
@chilloutab2 No you never agreed with my point.. Your point was that we where both wrong.. I am ok with you declaring yourself to be wrong.. Thats cool.. But stating i am wrong, nope..
chilloutab2 · 46-50, M
@Adstar In that case you're coming form a position of belief, dude. So your position or "truth" is not "universal" because not everyone subscribes to it... and neither is there objective and demonstrable proof of it being true.
Your belief works for you, which is great. But it doesn't work for everyone. So no blanket statement can be made on it.

@chilloutab2 Universal truth is not dependant on everyone believing it.... Water is not wet because everyone believes water is wet.. Water is wet is a universal truth because it is true where ever water exists..
chilloutab2 · 46-50, M
@Adstar True... that is the right definition and example of "universal truth"... and that definition does not apply to a statement like:
"There are no past lives... We have one life to live and then the judgement..."
At least it does not apply to the second part of that statement. The first part is pretty apparent, just like water is wet.
While a universal truth stands independent of whether it is accepted as such, it does have to be objectively and demonstrably provable and verifiable for it to be true, irrespective of whether it is believed in or not.
Your position does not hold up to that second requirement, so cannot be taken as the truth to start with, before universality is considered.

@chilloutab2 Judgement is not the end it is the unconscious beginning before life. We are infinite because “energy can neither created nor destroyed. Being afraid of ‘hell’ is like being afraid of the washing machine and dryer. We are the energy that binds star dust.

@chilloutab2
Why? If the truth is the truth then it is the truth.. No matter if one can prove it to another or not..
The truth is the truth..
