This post blessed me so much brother. It's the most beautiful Easter message we could have. The words alone of Jesus gave me goosebumps from head to toe. Haha I could not be more proud of this post and you're allowing the Lord to lead you in giving it. 🙏❤🤗❤

I could never be ashamed of Jesus or being his follower. I, too, say He is the Son of God, my Savior and Redeemer, my Rock of All Ages, my Light in the Darkness, my Rescuer, my Life, my Sustainer and Healer, the Sweetest Rose of Sharon, Love personified, and my All.

Amen, sister, amen!! ❤️ 🙏🏻

There's no evidence to suggest it's anything more than a myth.

@Sharon @GodSpeed63 Our churches are failing people, it's true that Christians need to take a more active evangelistic approach to communicating who God is and why we need him but.. I also strongly believe we could be in end times, so many things prophesied in the Bible appear to be coming true at the moment and if we are, the decline in people accepting God is prophesied.

2 Peter 3:3-4
Scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”

1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

2 Timothy 3:1-5
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.

Matthew 24:6-7
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

Luke 21:25
And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

Mark 13:32
But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Matthew 24:44
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

(I am ready. I love Jesus ❤️❤️)

That's just christian hubris. More and more people are realiasing they don't need your god. The "end times" must be referring to the end of christianity. :)

The "end times" must be referring to the end of Christianity. :)

The end times means just that: the end for everyone on this planet and the planet itself. Those who saved, to eternal life, those who are not saved eternal damnation. Belief alone can't stop it.

Interesting that the synoptic passage in ‘Mark’ reads only:

“ But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”. Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”

No mention of ‘Christ’ or ‘Son of the living God’. For ‘Mark’ Jesus is only the ‘Messiah’ that is to say a man who is ‘The Anointed Saviour’. For ‘Mark’ Jesus is human, but by the time ‘Matthew’ is re-writing ‘Mark’ Jesus has become divine.

No mention of ‘Christ’ or ‘Son of the living God’.

Both Matthew and Mark wrote peter's answer to Jesus' question.
JoeXP · 56-60, M
@GodSpeed63 The point I am making is that they give different answers (Luke has the same answer as Mark - ‘ Peter answered, “God’s Messiah’. This perhaps reflects different ideas as to the divine or human nature of Jesus in early Christian communities.

No, just different view points on Peter's answer. You should know that when a crime has been committed, that the police will expect different details from different points of view. The account of the crime is the same, only the witness testimonies of the crime are slightly different.

A character in a best selling book
Jesus was a man who has had more lies told about him than anyone else in history.
@GodSpeed63 OK, so you can't answer. You're a liar because you just said I changed my position, but you can't explain how. If you can't even tell the truth about me, how can I trust what you say about Jesus?

Jesus died 2000 years ago, so unless I'm John Olinger and will travel back in time to first century Judea, I won't ever see him. It's too bad, because I'd like to ask him what he thinks of the arrogant, sanctimonious moral degenerates who have destroyed his memory.

As Nick Vujcic says, if people hate you because of Jesus, that's not a problem, but if they hate Jesus because of you, that is a problem.

People hate Jesus because of people like you.

People hate Jesus because of people like you.

No, they hate Him because they hate the Truth. People, like yourself, would rather lie to them and tickle their ears to make them feel better. Let me tell you, it doesn't work.
@GodSpeed63 People like you make Christianity look like a degenerate hate cult. You don't tell the truth, you just repeat your indoctrination. If you want to know why young people are abandoning Christianity in droves, look in the mirror. You're the problem, not the "truth."

But please, keep it up. The more atheists in society, the better. You people have far too much influence as it is.

John 8

"51 Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.”

52 At this they exclaimed, “Now we know that you are demon-possessed! Abraham died and so did the prophets, yet you say that whoever obeys your word will never taste death. 53 Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?”

54 Jesus replied, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My Father, whom you claim as your God, is the one who glorifies me. 55 Though you do not know him, I know him. If I said I did not, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and obey his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.”

57 “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”

58 “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” 59 At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds."
