The Lie: How Can A Loving God Allow So Much Suffering In The World?

The Truth: How can we allow so much suffering in the world if we're so loving?

31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31

15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:15-17

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6

22 Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life. Genesis 3 22-24

14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you [a]will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The ones who blame God for all the suffering in this world are the ones who claim that He doesn't live.

The Adam,Eve, the garden and the stories are metaphors, if you study it historically. You can find these similarities in different myths and cultures. The time line and narration is different.

It’s surprising why we still take everything in Holy Books literally without any effort to find the truth in them.

These Books are guidelines and reminders of some great soul who was send for the benefit of the whole world.

The only way to find the Truth in God's Word is through His Holy Spirit. Man, by, himself, can never decipher the Word of God accurately.
@Renkon Sorry, but the Ten Commandments were not suggestions. God takes His Word seriously. Maybe no one else did or does, but I know Jesus took our sins seriously and the consequences of sin. He took our lives so seriously in trying to save us from hell, that he hung on the cross to prove it and died, just so we could have heaven, so yes I would say Jesus took us more seriously, than most take him. How sad. God's Word is the truth.

@LadyGrace Why do you think Jesus was crucified to clear the sins of man? That’s the biggest misconception in Bible. Jesus cried to God “Father, Father, why did you forsake me”. No one of us or the church understood the pain behind those words.

Jesus didn’t die to eradicate our sins.
Jesus LIVED to eradicate our sins.

These ideas came later. Around 10 century

@LadyGrace The Ten Commandments were given to Moses. But when we came back to his people with the words of God he saw them going back to old ways. He left those engraved plates and let cursing them.
@Renkon Perhaps you have heard someone say that we live in the age of grace and the age of the law is now over, and that the 10 commandments in the Bible are no longer applicable to life today. However, these still apply today, given the continuing commandments in the New Testament that speak to virtue, morality, and reflecting God’s goodness out of gratitude. I think all should carefully study God's Word, which reveals to us, the importance of the 10 commandments today.

I'm glad you brought up the subject of Moses getting angry and throwing down the tablets. You know why he did that? The Israelites were outright sinning against God, by making idols to worship. Namely, a golden calf. Some still make and worship all types of idols, even today. God said not to do that. We are not to bow down nor worship any man-made idol. Never. The account of this incident, has made that clear.
@Renkon How is it you can speak of Jesus, when other times you say you don't even believe He is the Savior of the world? He DIED on the cross, alright. Tell Him, you don't believe that. And over 500 people, watched it. It is obvious that you are here to only argue, not learn from what the Bible says. I don't entertain your false accusations about Jesus. The Bible doesn't even back them up.

@LadyGrace I never said Jesus is not the saviour of the world. I know he is one of many Prophets send by God. Yes people watched him being crucified.

I have faith in Jesus. But why do I need to blindly believe everything Bible says? It was written under King Constantine. 500!years after Christ. It was compiled in a way that suits him.

Equating Bible to Jesus is the biggest mistake.

If you don't understand the theme of the Bible about God's love, the extent of it, His great sacrifice for us, or even why Jesus died, and belittle that, you don't know Jesus of the Bible. It says no man can come to God the Father, except by Jesus. There is no misconception, but yours.

Jesus, when he cried out on the cross to His Father in heaven, knew His Father had not abandoned Him. But to Him, it felt like it, because when Jesus took the sins of the world on His own body, God the Father is so Holy, He looked away from those sins, but only until they (yours, mine, the world's sins) were paid for. Sin taints whatever it touches. It cannot be allowed in heaven, or it wouldn't be heaven, so that's why Father God turned His eyes, briefly away. Which is another reason why Father God appointed Jesus Christ as Mediator between God and man. Then God raised Jesus from the dead, three days later. Don't spread false doctrine, claiming Jesus didn't die to eradicate our sins. He hung on that cross for 6 agonizing hours, just so He could pay for all our sins. To downplay that with unbelief or cute little phrases, is blasphemous, prideful, arrogant, ungrateful for His huge sacrifice, and an outright lie about that sacred event.

Yes now here's where you say you believe in Jesus and all, yet you deny that He died on the cross to save us from our sins. You try to give a half truth by saying you believe Jesus was a good man and a good prophet, a good speaker and all, but what you don't say nor acknowledge, is that you don't believe He is the Savior of the world, or you wouldn't even have said the things you've said about him, and that's the most important thing, because if you miss the understanding that Jesus did come into this world to be the Savior of the world, not just a prophet, and that he died on the cross to save you and me and the world from our sins, and you deny Him as the Savior of the world, the Bible says He will deny you, before His Father in Heaven.

You need to tell the truth. You think you can earn your way to heaven and perhaps that it's okay to worship idols, I don't know, but I do know you believe you can work your way to heaven. That, simply won't work. The Bible says so, and who knows better how to get to heaven, than Jesus, yet you refuse to believe God and His Plan of Salvation. Do you really think Jesus came all the way down from heaven, just to tell good stories, then be nailed to a cross? If you want to get to heaven, you will have to give Jesus credit, where credit is due. He gives all of us a Lifeline out of this world from the condemnation of sin, and you thumb your nose at him and say you don't believe him. That's fine if that's what you want to do, but it's not going to work too well for you. This is not a game and God didn't leave us to guess how to get to heaven. You either believe or you don't, but don't go lying about jesus, His mission, and why He died on the cross. Jesus said, if you want to get to heaven, here's how! And if you want to get to heaven, you need to believe Jesus and take him at His Word. Because you sure don't know how to get to Heaven by yourself. That's all I have to say to you. Read your Bible so you know exactly what it says because everything you said was not true. You don't know your Bible. It's amazing, how if you were drowning and a man threw out a lifeline to you, so he could save you from drowning, you wouldn't even hesitate or question it. You would grab it in a heartbeat! Yet Jesus came to do just that, and to tell us exactly how to get to heaven without question, without guessing, so he can save you from hell, yet you refuse his help and rescue. You're drowning spiritually, but you're not looking to be rescued. You are only looking to argue. Jesus would call that unteachable. Rebellious. That's what you chose, so you won't have any excuse to say you didn't know. This was your biggest mistake. Jesus WROTE the Bible, so you wouldn't have to guess how to get to heaven and how to be saved.
@Renkon I do want to say that I mentioned to you that we need to believe the Bible because God left us His Word, since he no longer walks amongst us, and it is perfect. God is incapable of lying. He wrote it. Here's a few facts to ponder:

Such spiritual harmony in the Bible, is not man-made, but evidence of divine origin. In short, followers of Christ know the Scriptures are God's Word because in them, the Holy Spirit interprets God's Word so they can understand it; they hear the voice of their Lord. As Jesus declared, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27).

Modern archaeology has helped us realize that the Bible is historically accurate, even in the smallest of details. There have been thousands of archaeological discoveries in the past century that support every book of the Bible.

Here are 3 scientific facts you may not know are in the Bible:

Gravity. Job 26:7. He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.

Water Cycle. Job 26:8. He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.

The Earth's Core. Job 28: 5.

There's no way the men of that age would have known these deep things of the universe, except by the Holy Spirit telling them.

Do you know the origin of the oldest beliefs about God? They come first and directly from the very beginning when God made the heavens and the Earth and then made the first two people on Earth... Adam and Eve, who knew God and believed in Him. They were the first two Christians.
@Renkon
Equating Bible to Jesus is the biggest mistake.
No. The biggest mistake, is man believing in himself and his own flimsy efforts to save himself, over God and His Plan of Salvation, and thinking he's smarter and wiser than God.
@Renkon Since the Word is God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16), it cannot be subjected to lesser authorities, but must be authenticated by God himself. It carries within itself the character and marks of being the Word of God.The Bible remains authoritative, even if there were none to hear or believe it.

@Renkon
have faith in Jesus. But why do I need to blindly believe everything Bible says? It was written under King Constantine. 500!years after Christ. It was compiled in a way that suits him.
You're wrong, Renkon, the Word of God has been written over centuries before Constantine was even born. What those scholars did was translate the Word of God into languages that other people of different tongues can understand.
@Renkon
It’s surprising why we still take everything in Holy Books literally without any effort to find the truth in them.
That's the one truth that you have said all day....without any effort to find the truth in them. It's amazing how people quote the Bible, yet have never really read it nor really studied what it says, but will take a quick breeze through its pages, find one scripture, take it out of context, then pretend they have. It's very obvious they haven't because they twist the words to fit their own idea of how they think one gets to heaven. If one will study the bible, they will see exactly how to have eternal life in heaven with God. He makes it very clear, so we don't have to guess, and to ensure we don't miss heaven. The truth is right its pages. You can't call it blind because it doesn't leave to guess. It tells us exactly how to get to heaven. I cannot take the Quran seriously, for many, many reasons. Let's look at some impotant differences in beliefs.

Interestingly, out of all the messengers and prophets of God, Jesus is the only messenger who received the title of al-Masih, or Messiah, in the Quran. However, since Muslims do not believe in "original" sin, they see no need for a saviour and therefore do not believe in Jesus' crucifixion.

Why fixate on "original" sin, when the whole point is, we know we all have a sin nature. That's very obvious in this world. The point is, all sin separates us from Father God until we repent of it, and needs to be remedied by Father God's own Plan of Salvation...by accepting Jesus as Savior, not just a messenger. Why disobey and reject God's own plan to save us? Let's get to the crux of this. How about you answer some questions for a change? Answer the following questions directly, and don't deviate from the subject.

Muhammad certainly gave no plan of salvation. He even admitted to being a sinner. Smart man. Jesus came from heaven. He is the only one that knows how to get there; certainly not man. And certainly not even if man could save himself by his own good works. How would he find God's domain? And even if he did, he would not be able to walk through the doors with sin still on his heels. Tell me how you remedy this? Will man suddenly sprout wings and fly beyond our atmosphere and find God's domain in the third heaven? Impossible.

Who is the savior of the world in Islam?

The Mahdi (Arabic: ٱلْمَهْدِيّ, romanized: al-Mahdī, lit. 'the Guided') in Islamic eschatology, a messianic deliverer who will fill earth with justice and equity, restore true religion, and usher in a short golden age lasting seven, eight, or nine years before the end of the world. Odd...the Qurʾān doesn't even mention him.

Nothing is specific in this Islam belief, like God's Word is. This Madhi, Islamic god, has left people to guess of how to have eternal life, doesn't describe what "true religion" is, and gives NO plan of salvation.

1. Mahdi is a boy's name of Arabic origins.
2. It is said to be a religious name with connections to hadith literature.
3. In Islam, Mahdi is the prophesized messianic figure who will appear at the end of the world. Jesus already made Himself well known, proving Himself to be the real Messiah, performing many miracles. Then there were the 500 people who actually witnessed His death AND Resurrection. Mahdi has yet to come. That means no one has seen him. And these people popping up on YouTube or wherever, claiming to be Mahdi, cannot be him, because he said himself that he would only come at the End of the world. That would be AFTER the Battle of Armageddon, which is yet to come. That also means no one knows what he looks like yet. It would also mean that people who claim to have seen this Madhi god, are lying, because he hasn't even come yet. He couldn't have come earlier, nor disappesred in 878, as some have claimed.
@Renkon If Jesus was "just" a good man, or "just" a prophet, and NOT God Incarnate, that would make Him a liar, or a lunatic....NOT a good man, because He claimed to be the Son of God and proved it, when He was on earth. God is perfect and cannot sin, lie, nor err. We can't have it both ways. To not believe Jesus, is to call His Father a liar, and we know that's not true.
@Renkon One of the biggest differences for me is that Allah says "Die, in order to come to me."... while Jehovah God says, "I will die, so you can come to Me."
