Devotion is an individual endeavour
It’s basically your bond with God. It’s no one’s business. So why do we need organised Religion to validate it?

In the dawn of mankind some non leader caveman shaman, who was really smart yet devious, figured out that he couldn't get his way through strength.
Since he was smart, he knew he could control others through their beliefs. Hence the religious wars of every belief system in existence.
It's wasn't survival of the fittest then. It's survival of the smartest even now.
People complain that their leaders are not very smart. This is because they are not the true leaders. They are pawns of the religious organizations.
Now figure out why the head of state in the UK is as well the head of the church‽ 🤷🏻♂️
