@Sharon It is very easy for believers to prove that their biblical deity exists because he specified methods to do it.

This is a case where people know stuff that they don't know that they know because their thinking is limited in certain ways.

I'm thinking about two easy ways for believers to prove that their deity exists.

1. Refer to Mark 16:17-18 (CEB) = "17 These signs will be associated with those who believe: they will throw out demons in my name. They will speak in new languages. 18 They will pick up snakes with their hands. If they drink anything poisonous, it will not hurt them. They will place their hands on the sick, and they will get well.”

James 5:14-15 (CEB) ="14 If any of you are sick, they should call for the elders of the church, and the elders should pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Prayer that comes from faith will heal the sick, for the Lord will restore them to health. And if they have sinned, they will be forgiven."

Now ask yourself why are there sick popes, cardinals, bishops, nuns, preachers, etc., if those passages are true. Jesus made specific promises on how believers can heal the sick. If it isn't happening then Jesus lied or there has never been any true believers or the story is 100% BS.

2. In the second instance refer to Matthew 21:21 (CEB) =
"Jesus responded, “I assure you that if you have faith and don’t doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree. You will even say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the lake.’ And it will happen."

Luke 17:6 (CEB) = The Lord replied, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you."

So, when people yak about their favorite deity there is no need to argue about it. Simply ask them to do what Jesus promised a believer can do. And since no one in the last 2,000 years has ever done those things, the yakker will be the first person who has ever believed in Jesus if he does them. Otherwise, everyone is an atheist. Or the entire story is just 100% BS and has no validity whatsoever.
