What happens to our consciousness when in a dreamless sleep?

If nothing happens why do we think it’ll different after death?
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
The human body generates its own electricity. From the nerves in the brain to the beating of the heart. And Electricity never ceases to exist. According to Einstein. Which is the most sciency explanation you can find for a soul. Personally being conscious forever seems like hell to me.

@Thevy29 That would give the soul a life out of our control!

@eMortal Once the body dies, yeah..

Because this can't be all to our existence. There has to be more than just being a slave to greed.
@calicuz Reality is not required to meet your expectations.
Why would it be any different than the eternal oblivion we experienced before birth?

@LeopoldBloom that too!!!

I guess if it isn't we'll never know

@Lostpoet I’m afraid it’s just a big nothingness there.
Lostpoet · M
@eMortal I just can't imagine struggling through so much and then there's nothingness.

@jshm2 “ Also, there is no such thing as "dreamless sleep," what you mean to say is that you don't remember your dreams when you wake up.”
You’re sure about that?

You dream dreams that you do not remember..
