Religion throughout History

@Ryderbike Not at all. Or, at least not here. I don’t except the notion of good and evil, but rather consequences.
Therefore, religion doesn’t play into it for me. It’s been used as a banner, just like everything else. I wish I could say it was special in that way.

No war has ever been started in the name of atheism,

Hitler was a Christian,,now what?

@Ryderbike you link the two together, and although there’s a coincidental and sometimes causal relationship, the fact is anything can be used to justify a war. Slavery, land, rights, water, rights, power…

@Ryderbike For every example, there’s acounter-example. What of the numerous medical institutions and universities founded by religious groups?

@Graylight that doesn’t change history at all. And what happens at those so-called religious universities? Usually indoctrination. I think you need to go to Europe and visit a religious torture museum to understand the extent of the atrocities committed in the name of religion. Did you know there’s such a thing as a torture museum?
Even your own nation burned witches in the name of religion and the preacher stood on the pulpit using the Bible to justify enslaving black people. Using the Bible to justify genocide against the first nation people.
