Belief Follows Truth

[media=https://youtu.be/fL-EeTVcAnk]

Science still points to God and confirms His Word to be true. No amount of disbelief can change it.

Ken Ham’s Ark Encounter is the best evidence against the flood there is.
Even he can’t make it float.

@DocSavage Actually, the "Great Flood" legend has a basis in fact, with a layer of flood debris in the soil around the whole Eastern Mediterranean Regeon going back over 3000 years and coinciding with the volcanic eruption that took out the Minoan Empire close to Crete. (This is also one possible source of the Atlantis Myth)
This one event would have been catastrophic for all populations living on the shoreline or close to rivers and would grow in the telling. There may even have been a "Noah" far out on a family fishing boat who rode the Tsunami out at sea and returned to find his home port destroyed. (Shades of Forrest Gump and the Shrimp Boat..)

I know about the Iraqi flood plane. On which the story is based on , still a long way from a world wide flood Kenny is pushing. Not that he’ll admit it.

@DocSavage Thats a faith V fact argument that shouldnt arise. But so many stories have a grain of truth that should be respected and mined for, even if you dont respect the mythology.. Finding the nexus offers a chance of a middle ground we all need so badly these days.😷

Kenny believes there is a lot more than just a grain. He’s betting on the whole bakery.

@DocSavage He has faith. A very small part of me envies him the peace of mind that must bring him. I have to provide my own solutions..😷

No, faith isn’t the word I would use for him. Fanatic is .
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@DocSavage But it is the word he would you. We are all entitled to our beliefs. Its only when we insist on inposing them on others a problem arises. You have logic. He has faith. They belong in different realms..😷

I’ve seen him lecturing to ten year olds, telling them that science and scientists are against god. I’ve seen him lie, rather than admit evolution is even possible. It’s even stated in his Ark Encounter, that scientist are out to destroy faith in god. [media=https://youtu.be/Nou5wWKKC1w]

@DocSavage That doesnt mean we have to be as ignorant as the other side. The fact is that the Placebo effect works.. And the power of positive thinking works. And meditation works. Just not always, not in all situations and not on all people.. But if a person chooses to use faith as the gateway to those things, they should be allowed to do so unmolested. If you dont, then we are no better than them.. We do need to be better than them..😷

Ken Ham is of the belief that we should be ignorant of the other side
He literally preaches willful ignorance, and encourages in others, especially children, before their old enough to even understand what they’re being told. We are better than him, in regards to being honest .
