Why Can't Skeptics Accept The Fact That God Lives?

[media=https://youtu.be/JaR-skui5HQ]

Skeptics claim that God doesn't live, and yet, offer no support for that claim. God has proven Himself to mankind time and again, and yet, skeptics keep asking for more, or so it seems. Like fools, a lot of them do not care for the truth.

Skeptics keep claiming the Word of God is a fairy tale and the historical accounts in it are myths. Yet they still do not offer any support for what they think is true when confronted with the actual Truth of God.

All they are able to do is make futile attempts to discredit God and His Word and us who believe. The tactics they use are irrational, unintelligent, and far being logical. They do more harm to themselves than they do us. All we can do is pray for them to have their eyes opened to the Truth of God as our eyes have been opened.

Your side is the one making the claim for proof of God. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

You cannot point to one piece of provable, verified evidence of God. What you do is interpret signs, and that's fine. But it's not the truth. It's your truth.

You cannot prove the Bible was written by anyone but men, you cannot provide testable evidence of a God or spirit being. You can only believe.

Faith doesn't need to be scientifically proven, but it also can't be dragged into that realm by those trying to prove something. I welcome you to provide one single irrefutable, demonstrable piece of data. Do that and my respect for you will be immense.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

To Which you keep failing to give to support your claim that God doesn't live.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 You are the one making the claim... It is yours to prove. Or if thats too difficult, just prove my Jedi Mind powers didnt force you to post this thread in the first place..😷
Graylight · 51-55, F
@GodSpeed63 We're not making a claim. You are.

We were all happily living our lives, minding our own business when you stepped in with "I can prove God is real." Your ball, your court.

@GodSpeed63
It’s GOD DOESN’T EXIST. stop trying to change the subject.
What do you expect us to do ? Drag Yahweh’s rotting corpse in here and show you he was alive, but isn’t any more. Not gonna happen. All we need to do is show no god, to prove he’s not there. All you gotta do to prove he is point him out. What are you waiting for ?

We're not making a claim.

You're the ones claiming that there's no God, Graylight. All I'm doing is getting you to show that there is no God. If you can't do that, then the Truth remains that God lives and His Word is true.
DocSavage · M
@GodSpeed63
Nonsense. If you see god. Go ahead and point him out. Can’t do it , can you ? He’s not there, because He’s not there.
@GodSpeed63

All I'm doing is getting you to show that there is no God. If you can't do that, then the Truth remains that God lives and His Word is true.

Can you prove that Allah does not exist? If so then do it. If you can't then by your logic, the Truth remains that Allah lives.

Put up or shut up?
GodSpeed63 · 70-79, M
@Pikachu
Can you prove that Allah does not exist?

Don't change the subject, Pikachu.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@GodSpeed63 No, I am not saying God doesn't exist. First rule of engagement: Know who you're dealing with. I'm the product of 16 years of immersive religious tradition; I practice spirituality is all aspects of my life; I study theology from both a common and academic stance; and I believe in what you'd call God.

But I am also the devil's advocate. You are free to believe anything under the sun; you are not free to push it on others without consequence or question. You started this post with a declaration:
God has proven Himself to mankind time and again

I said: Has not.
You said. Has to.
I said: Prove it.
Now you prove it. I made no assertion. I made no claim whatsoever. Scour the words. Never once in my life have I said God doesn't exist.

Jesus said that we must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God. I know God personally since I became born again.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 You have video of this?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@GodSpeed63 Not evidence. Impression.

Impression: It's as hot as lava outside today.
Evidence. The thermometer reads 103; the hygrometer indicates high humidity; we're using a/c at two degrees cooler than usual.

Impression: Mint ice cream is by far the best ice cream because so many people eat it.
Evidence: In a recent self-report study of 1,637 people living in Texas, vanilla edged out the competition by 11% as noted by sales over the course of the month of July.

Impression: God is great and very real.
Evidence: Though there is debatable evidence for the existence of Jesus as written in historical documents, there is no scientific way to measure the existence or goodness (or intentions) of any spiritual god being.

Catching on? Feel whatever you like, but call it what it is.

@whowasthatmaskedman Watch out; he's liable to upload light rays in the shape of a face coming from a cloud.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Graylight And I will counter with my Buddha on a piece of toast.😷
@GodSpeed63

Don't change the subject, Pikachu.

Not changing the subject, just making sure we agree on the logic being applied here.
I'm just going to make sure your argument is logically consistent.

Just give me a straight answer to a straight question. You once promised me that you would always give a straight answer to a straight question. You must keep your word or you're a liar before God.

Can you prove that Allah does not exist? If so then do it. If you can't then by your logic, the Truth remains that Allah lives.

.....or do you not like your standard of proof when it's applied evenly?😇🙏

You must be dreaming.
@DocSavage
A pikachu can dream lol

You can dream, but get a straight answer? I doubt it.

Dummy gods don't count here, Pikachu, stick with the subject at hand.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Pikachu Yes, Pikachu, and the subject at hand is the dearth of education, common sense or openness to learning on GodSpeed's part.
@GodSpeed63
Dummy gods don't count here,

All we're doing right now is proving to these good people that your logic fails to support your position to the exclusion of others.

Let me ask you a straight question and we'll see if you give me a straight answer or if you lied about that.

Using your logic of : "If you can't prove Yahweh doesn't live then he does live", can YOU, Godspeed, prove that Allah doesn't live?

Time to put up or shut up.
Time to give a straight answer or concede that you haven engaged in a logical fallacy known as special pleading.

What's it gonna be, sport?😁😁😁

DocSavage · M
@Pikachu
I’ve tried that approach before, it doesn’t work with him, and you’re probably wasting your time, when you could be ridiculing him.
Which, if not productive, is at least more fun.
@DocSavage

I've interacted with him for a while. I know that he's dishonest.
I just prefer to expose that dishonesty because if one only ridicules him then one can be dismissed as a hateful atheist. If one forces him to broadcast his lack of honesty then he's the one who looks bad.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Pikachu The real issue between religion and science is that science is fact and repeatable. Religion is Myth and a matter of faith. The two worlds shouldnt be mixed. But being human and therefore contrary, we do. If somone of faith wants to believe for themselves, fine. But if they push their myths into the world of science, science is entitled to push back.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman

Agreed. That's where i have issues with faith claims as well.
