Happiness isn’t a destination, it’s a journey.

If you take shortcuts, you'll get short-term happiness. Start the habits that will lead to your long-term joy and satisfaction with your life.

“I will try one hundred times to get up, and if I fail one hundred times and I give up, will I ever get up? No! If I fail I’ll try again and again. But I want to tell you, it’s not the end.” – Nick Vujicic

Quitting is the easiest way to never reach your goals. The most successful people in the world get knocked down, but they keep getting back up. You only lose when you give up!Never give up!!

The end of that journey is as important as the first. I decided on July 21, 1973 to accept Jesus as my Savior. So I know where this journey leaves off, I'll find myself in the arms of Jesus. What a great, glorious, and safe place to be!

If there's an end to that journey, it's when one accepts death with a smile and final words that say "thank you" :)

@Heartlander But as Jesus said (and Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he doesn't count hahaha) "I'LL BE BACK!!" Death isn't the end, praise God! But you are so right! We can bid adieu with a grateful heart for all we've learned, had, and done. Even the painful experiences were valuable in helping us learn and grow, and helped us come out the other side, in victory! And even when my mom and dad died within six months of each other, the Lord was so good to me and gave me a peace that passes all understanding from the Holy Spirit. While it was sad to see them go, death was swallowed up in Victory and just like Jesus said, "Death hath no sting!" for those in Christ. We know we'll see our loved ones, again!

Thank you.

Maybe but when a person is confused between what is a shortcut and what is not, then what?
LadyGrace · 70-79
@TheOrionbeltseeker God's word says that Satan is the "author of confusion." In effect, he tries to scramble our brains. 😂 He's real good at that. He's had centuries of practice. Haha

The first thing we need to do when we're confused, is do nothing. When we make haste, we make waste. This is the time when God wants us to stop and listen for once. We don't have all the answers, but being All-Wise, God does!

We wait. I call it God's Waiting Room. IN IT, we learn many things. The first thing we do, is stop and pray. Pray for God's guidance, wisdom, and inspiration. Seeking Him, His will, and His Way, through prayer and reading the Bible . It's there for a reason. To read and learn about life and about any thing that comes up that were confused about and need help with. It's just not a book to lay on the shelf and get dusty. It literally is our Survial Guide for Life. It gives God's plan and ROADMAP for mankind.

We pray about His will. We don't want to get ahead of Him. In order for things to come about for us...good things...sometimes He has to prepare other's hearts and lives or even business partners lives, in order to meet and accomplish what we need to accomplish at our end.

Meanwhile, we stay faithful. We don't rush God. Seeing the future, He knows best what we need, and just at the right time. So we should always be grateful and thankful that He is working on our behalf in the background, to ensure that things come out just right for His children.

God gave us a conscience, so that we would know right from wrong, so when we were confused, we need to stop and pray. If we are living our lives according to God's Word and plan, the Holy Spirit will tell us. Our Spirit will feel calm, not confused or anxious. It's really when we pressure God and press matters, in order for Him to move faster, that we override His perfect plan for us and disrupt His Will. This is when we need to stay quiet and wait and read God's Word so He can guide us. All the answers we could ever want or need, are in His Word. Every solution. We never want to get ahead of Him. We should seek His will and just be patient and wait for the answers. We will definitely know when they are right, when our lives fall into place under the direction of the Holy Spirit, and our spirit is not full of confusion or negative, anxious thoughts. God would not lead us that way. We'll know when everything is right. His spirit will guide us. Our Spirit and hearts will just "know". This is why we don't listen to Just ANY voice. Jesus said, "MY SHEEP know My Voice and I know THEM...."

i give up when in the long run its not worth all the work
LadyGrace · 70-79
@FurryFace Also, depends on how one's health is, too. I was mostly talking about the younger people. It's hard for us older ones to keep going at times with all the random bodily breakdowns. Like an old car. Hahaha

Amen, sister, amen!!
