My spiritual beliefs
This will probably be long but I like to document my beliefs from time to time to mark how they change.
Existence is energy. There are many different levels of energy. There is what some call "negative" energy. Entities of this energy type tend to value the self over the collective, and tend to lean towards destruction as opposed to creation. There is what some call "positive" energy. Entities of this energy type focus on wellbeing of the collective and lean towards creation over destruction. The "collective" in this case referring to really anything that exists. When I use the terms positive and negative energy going forward know this is how I define them, and I am not necessarily claiming any kind of morality statement like good or bad. Both positive and negative energy is necessary for existence, therefore neither is truly good or bad.
Energy exists on a spectrum of course. Most beings are a mix of both positive and negative energy rather than purely one or the other, though there are entities that are purely negative or purely positive and I'll discuss those later. Planes of existence similarly are arranged by energy level, with some planes being highly positive and being home to highly positive beings, some the opposite, and most somewhere in between. The only way to travel from plane to plane is through a shift in energy level to thus match the energy level of the plane you are trying to get to. Think of how you adjust your radio until the waves line up with a specific station. It's like that. Due to the infinite number of energetic planes that make up existence, some may refer to it as the "multiverse" with each individual plane being its own "universe". But this is just a matter of terminology.
There are two types of inhabitants of existence that I have come across. The first I refer to as "fauna". Fauna are mortal beings that do not possess any ability to manipulate existence. They are typically limited to inhabiting the plane they are born into.
The second type of inhabitant of existence is what I refer to as "djinn". These are immortal beings that possess the ability to manipulate existence, ie basically can bend reality to their will, though different djinn have varying talent/ability to do so.
From my observations I have classified djinn into distinct categories. Deities, Nomads, Demons, Angels and Souls.
Deities are djinn that have claimed a territory and everything within it for themselves. Note that they are not necessarily any more powerful or unique than a djinn who does not choose to take a territory. While some deities are benevolent towards the inhabitants of their territory and offer protection and care, some are more tyrannical and demand worship and offerings to avoid harsh punishments. Some may even vascillate between the two! Regardless, ALL deities are extremely territorial, and do not respond kindly to another djinn "invading" their territory or any who may threaten their dominance over that area.
Nomads are djinn who prefer to roam existence freely rather than remain in and claim one specific area.
"Angel" and "Demon" do not so much refer to types of djinn so much as they do their alignment. "Angels" are djinn that are allied with the creator entity (the one that all energy in the universe originated from). "Demons" are djinn allied against the creator entity, though frequently "demon" is also used as a term referring to any entity of a more negative energy type. While this is not technically correct, it is true that generally most who choose to ally against the creator entity are of a more negative energy level. Again that is just a generalization though. Also keep in mind that there is another type of creation that can be classified as an "angel", and these are manifestations of the creator entity's will. These creations have no mind or will of their own and exist entirely to carry out a specific will of the creator entity. For ease of reference these may be considered "true" angels while djinn may be considered "false" angels. Not because one is any more or less angelic than the other, but because angel in regards to a djinn simply refers to its alignment rather than what it actually is.
Souls are a particularly unique type of djinn specially created by the creator entity that are designed and destined to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible, and eventually to become one with the creator entity. They are put through a rigorous education. The life and development of the soul is actually absolutely fascinating. Unlike other djinn they begin their existence basically living as fauna, as a part of their education. Anyone who is reading this right now is in fact a soul :) No there is no punishment system for souls. Why would a soul be punished for simply following its lesson plan? If a soul ends up in a negative plane it's because it put itself there. It is choosing to be there, whether it's aware of that or not.
You may ask, what is the creator entity? It is, from my best guess, a collection of an infinite amount of souls that is always increasing. A being of purely positive energy. As these souls are of the highest positive energy possible, they function together as one, each soul working in perfect harmony with another to cover for each other's weaknesses and enhance another's strengths. That is that "collective focused" attitude I was talking about. The creator entity seeks the growth of creation.
So if there is a being (or rather beings) that is purely positive, is there one that is also purely negative? Yes, and for lack of a better term I refer to it as the "devil", as that is generally what humans would consider it. The devil is also a collection of entities, however this collection of entities seeks the destruction of creation. Furthermore as I mentioned beings of a more negative energy tend to value what benefits the self over what benefits the collective. This taken to the extreme ironically leads to a complete dissolution of the ego and personal identity in favor of, well pleasure basically. In other words the entities that make up the devil are more fixated on what they want than what or who they are.
The devil is technically not "evil" anymore than the creator is "good". They simply have different values/goals. Both are equally important and necessary to existence. You can't have one without the other. Balance is important.
And that's all I feel like going over for now.
