What do you think?

@GodSpeed63 I think the Bible was written by men using tales, histories and tactics specific to their own audiences. I think it was written before the Age of Reason and places its claims squarely outside the parameters of authentic evidence.

I think man has created God in his own image, which isn't to say the Universe is devoid of the divine. But the traits we attribute to God - vengeance, sympathy, favoritism, wisdom, even the need for others to prove their love to Him - are purely human and earth-bound. These traits have no use in the greater cosmos and indeed, don't even exist.

I don't need a mighty God who can conquer nations. The simple, unending creative flow of the Universe is enough for me.

You'd be wrong. We call it the Word of God because it was written by Him.
@GodSpeed63 Your god couldn’t deal iron chariots. His words.

@GodSpeed63 According to the Bible, God said that he would write the Ten Commandments on the stone tablets that Moses chipped out. He didn't; he subcontracted the job to Moses (Exodus 34:27). https://www.biblegateway.com/verse/en/Exodus%2034:27
