@rrraksamam You are so right. The spirit within us longs for more than just self-awareness. And that is why spirituality cannot fully satisfy it, so it is unsatisfied. Our spirit longs to fellowship with God's Spirit...its Creator. As soon as one asks Jesus to come into their heart and life and be their Savior, God's Holy Spirit unites with that person's spirit, and gives a great transformation of heart and mind in doing so, which fulfills our Spirit's longing, as it is now connected to God's Spirit.

@LadyGrace I followed Jesus in the path of God. But my mind remained uneasy, and my soul troubled.
@rrraksamam What was your idea of the way of following him? What did you do?

@LadyGrace I went back to church. I paid my tithes. I confessed my sins, and I asked for forgiveness. I asked for love, friendship, peace, and joy. I read the Bible and said my prayers. I waited for the pain and sadness to dissipate. I walked alone but the world got in my way. I expected happiness and joy, but none came. My enemies thought I'd grown weak and soft. And they came after me, thirsty for my blood. I asked the Lord to keep the devil's people away. The Lord didn't answer my prayers.
@rrraksamam I did the same. That does not work. Grace is God's unmerited, unearned favor - His goodness toward those who have no claim on, nor reason to expect, divine favor. The manifestation of God's grace has been in the form of a gift. Salvation is not our achievement, but it is a gift from God. That truth is made stronger by contrast. It is 'not of ourselves' and "not of works" that one is saved. Salvation is indeed the most extraordinary expression of God's grace.

@LadyGrace I don't expect anything from Him anymore. He failed to deliver when I needed Him the most. That doesn't make Him much different from the humans that I once knew.
@rrraksamam He never fails to deliver. Someone else failed you or maybe you believed a lie someone told you. I have seen many miracles by God. He even saved my daughter from dying, when the doctors said she would be dead in a week because there was nothing else they could do. Yet God saved her, when we prayed. His Holy Spirit is pure and love. There is no evil found in Him. It is not in His character. It can only bring peace, love, and joy when His Spirit touches ours.

@LadyGrace It's been 3 years since I begged Him for His help and assistance. What I had asked for, no mortal man could grant. But for Him, I knew He could do it if He wanted. But He didn't.

All those days that I spent kneeling, wishing, asking, begging, amounted to nothing.
In the end, I gave up.

I've seen many atheists ask, "Where is your God when (something horrible happens)?"
Truth is, I'm not sure anymore.
While I believe that He exists, I don't think He cares much about the people; certainly not all people.

@rrraksamam I have witnessed his power. Now, i feel proud to say that without him, i am nothing. He does not leave you. You leave him.
If Peter would have asked him why the hell did he drown him for when he could have let him walk unto him but he did not.

He said, "Oh ye of little faith"

It is always us who disown and own people. It is not his nature. I am sorry that you witnessed wrong things or delusions. I would recommend you to Go back to Jesus again and repent.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
@JonathanSJ I did indeed leave him.
Have I disowned him? I'm not sure. Was He mine to begin with? Or was it all in my imagination?

I have nothing to repent. I do not sin anymore.
@JonathanSJ Jesus didn't drown Peter. Your sentence makes it sound as if he did.
JonathanSJ · 36-40, M
@rrraksamam You would sound a scam if you would say that you don't sin anymore.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
@JonathanSJ A bigger scam than Him, who did not answer my prayers? I do not think so.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
@JonathanSJ @LadyGrace I'm sorry for my hurtful words. Maybe it was just me. Maybe I was just too sinful to be forgiven and granted any wishes.
As they say, God is good all the time. Maybe He was being good when he decided that I didn't deserve anything that I'd asked for.
Regardless, faith is what differentiates man from beast.
@rrraksamam You don't have to beg him. He is always ready and wanting to receive us. Jesus never disowned us. If so, He never would have died on the cross to save us from the condemnation sin placed on us. He not only said He loves us. He proved it. I'm sad that you feel God abandoned you, but I have never seen nor heard of Him abandoning anyone. In fact, if it weren't for Jesus and His forgiveness of sins, we would all go to hell, because sin keeps us separated from God until we repent. You said you don't sin anymore. That is not possible. We all sin and that is why we need Jesus, to forgive our sins, as we cannot drag our sins into heaven with us. We are all in the same spiritual boat. In need of Jesus, as our Savior. I think maybe some have given you false doctrine. There are many false teachers out there. Jesus never turns us down or away, when we come to Him for salvation. He never abandons us. Then there are some who put God in a box of their own making. Thinking He must act this way or another, or we don't want Him. Some think and treat Him as if he is a genie in the sky, to do as we say, at our every beck and call. Many also want Him to save us and change us, though we're not willing to turn away from our old life of sin. They only give him part of their lives, not making full commitment. There are many factors to consider. Many never realize the pain and agony Jesus suffered on the cross to pay for our sins, just so we could have eternal life in heaven. Jesus's love for us is not conditional. He loves us infinitely more than words could ever say. But if we really don't know or understand what salvation is about or why we need it, then nothing else will make sense, either. It is Satan that is the author of confusion.

You said nothing to be sorry for. I appreciate your honesty. You are not too sinful to be forgiven or for Jesus to help you. If that was the case, none of us could be saved. He wants to save us all and turns no one away. None of us deserve anything, but God loves us always, though we have sinned. He never turns His forgiveness away from anyone who asks for it. If you would like to discuss these things with me in a pm, as many have, I would be happy to hear from you and we can address your questions or concerns in a quieter atmosphere. Jesus loves you. And so do I, as His follower.
