Serious Question: Do Fundamentalist Christians actually believe that stars will "fall from the sky" during the second coming

Let's be real, it's a metaphor. Or could be meteors. If the Sun, nevermind all the stars in the sky (Blue Giants Neutron Stars, Red Dwarves etc), "fell from the Sky" it would be the end of the universe and we'd all be obliterated before getting to Heaven 🤣

Are you serious about learning of salvation or are you trying to mock the Christian Faith?
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic I’m posing a question to provoke logical thought. And to also find out just how many Christians actually believe in what was clearly written before any form of astronomy and understanding of stars/the universe was developed. Another example is Aztecs thinking the moon was chasing the sun across the sky…. It’s not just Christianity. Norse mythology suggested the stars were hammered into the sky “by the gods” We now know none of this to be true.

@ShadowWolf
You are diverting from your original question; you did specify Christians in particular. How much do you think man know about astronomy?
Are you a big banger, a science that goes all the way back to Lemaitre’s time, centuries ago. Professional scientists actually question what penrose and hawking spoon fed so called astronomy experts of today. Do you personally know what the red shift is determined from?
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic I believe the Big Bang happened. Did God create the material for the Big Bang? Possibly.
Vaguely familiar with the Red shift. I specified certain types of Christians who take the Bible word for word and literally. Norse, Aztec, Greek etc are dead religions so I didn’t feel the need to target them.

@ShadowWolf
You didn’t answer my question

but it seems to me you don’t understand the science of astronomy and struggling with your own beliefs. It is not commonly accepted that what LeMaitre initiated hundreds of years ago is true.
I find Genesis perfectly plausible but it can depend on how you limit God on what is truly possible.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic The book of Genesis defies all scientific logic. The Book of Revelation does as well. The Bible was never meant to be taken literally.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
How do you know the Holy Bible is not meant to be taken literally. Most that lack Faith label it as “creationism” but who limits God ?
You still haven’t answered my scientific question which demonstrates to me you are asking a question that you don’t even know the science on?
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic @SpiritualMan actually has the perfect answer for that. As he said even the Bible uses metaphors, Jesus used metaphors, and the Bible says many of its statements are metaphors.
I’m lacking science? You are suggesting Blue giants, neutron stars, and red dwarves don’t exist?
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@ShadowWolf Also how can a star such as the sun fall to earth when it’s many many many million times more massive? The Earth would be vaporized well before the Sun even reached it. NEVERMIND a blue or red giant star. Your blatant disregard of physics makes me wonder how you were EVER a teacher in the 90s according to your profile.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
I am glad that you are checking my profile. At least you know it is better not to get into an arguments of facts without doing research.
My question of science was specifically to the big bang and how the red shift is used to establish the Hubble LeMaitre Law.

You seem to know very little about science still.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic I prefer to learn about my opponents prior to engaging them in debate. So yes. Red shift to my knowledge explains (partially) the expansion of the universe after the Big Bang, and dating objects accordingly. And let’s be real, the universe is much older than Genesis implies. Most of Genesis is metaphorical. And, also disproven by logic.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
You can’t prove that the universe is older than what the Bible says.
Again you avoid explaining the process of red shift.
It is pretty simple stuff.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic Uhm yes we can. Sediment dating alone can prove earth is billions of years old.
Carazaa · F
@Pfuzylogic These people are totally deceived 😇
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
What do you know about stratigraphy.
I find that science to be very unsure for dating purposes especially for millions of years.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic If you are such a pro scientist, how about you enlighten me? You still haven’t answered my logical question about how a Blue GIANT STAR or even just the Sun can fall to the earth? A rock that is like a speck of dust compared to stars.
Carazaa · F
@Pfuzylogic Satan has them snookered 😜
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Carazaa You listen to Earthly preachers. They aren’t the word of God. So you are the one being deceived.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
I agree that is your initial post proposition that I overlooked.
I must confess that I move onto the core of beliefs and knowledge,
Pfuzylogic · M
@Carazaa
Deceit was common with scientists such as penrose and hawking.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic So I consider that a digression. You have no logical answer for it. That is because it is false/a metaphor and you know it. It’s no different than Odin hammering stars into the sky 😂
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
Again you make presumptions.
Read Genesis sometime and read it literally.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic Genesis is a fairy tail. It’s a metaphor.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic Or maybe we just evolved past the point of believing in a fairy tail?
Pfuzylogic · M
@ShadowWolf
Genesis is history. No wonder you are so confused.
ShadowWolf · 31-35, M
@Pfuzylogic Genesis was just a way of trying to understand the universe. Like the Egyptians, like the Aztecs, like the Norse.
