People do not respect anything they get for free.

Therefore the material world is not valued by many, their senses dulled by mathematics (ie physics and finances) that they are blind to how things really are.

There are some numbers that can only be expressed by frequency alone and many will never have the ears to guage them.

I know people who cherish the things they get for free.

@SW-User like what?

@GeraldVeritasSeeker A zillion things.

A guy I know cleaned up a pocket knife he found. I'm sure if he had done it within the past decade, he would have taken pictures of the before and after. But he still caries that thing now.

I know people who treat a free meal like it's the best food they have ever had.

Gifts are free and we should (and do) cherish them.

I could go on all day about this.

@SW-User Me too. In fact I am one of them. I am typing this in a web browser that is free that is running on an operating system that is free. I thank all who have had a hand in creating them for making my life better.

About six years ago I found Compaq laptop in a skip (dumpster in US I think). It's still running and highly appreciated.

I've given away computer hardware (usually stuff discarded by the company I worked for) to people who could not afford to buy it and could see in their faces how much they appreciated it.

Like @SW-User I could go on longer.
