I'm not a huge fan, I think he's fake. he had a big nervous break down and after had an "experience", mimiking certain masters of Indian, and from that moment on, even if he doesn't use the term, he was "enlightened". his personal path is going from a great emotional suffering to a kind of chronic pathological escapism, he basically avoids any emotion in fear that it will reawaken his demons. I call that living in lalaland. there is Buddhist influence in his attitude towards atachment being the main source of suffering and some hindu misticism in his experience of enlightenment. I heard he took a lot from Nisargadatta maharaj but i find his aprroach to his "mystical" experience is similar to Krishnamurti's experience who also opted for a modernized version of a spiritual awakening.
