We should pray and forgive the Atheist on a daily basis [Spirituality & Religion]

The Atheist are not necessarily wicked but they are weak and seek to wear down those who are blessed with joy with their negativity and mean spirited nature. We should not fall into their trap. Do not let them contaminate you with their horrible attitude. We need to forgive them and be patient with them everyday.

"There are, after all, atheists who say they wish the fable were true but are unable to suspend the requisite disbelief, or who have relinquished belief only with regret. To this I reply: who wishes that there was a permanent, unalterable celestial despotism that subjected us to continual surveillance and could convict us of thought-crime, and who regarded us as its private property even after we died? How happy we ought to be, at the reflection that there exists not a shred of respectable evidence to support such a horrible hypothesis.”
― Christopher Hitchens, The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever
@BlueSkyKing Yes, Christopher Hitchens, atheist, author and unwitting YouTuber died on December 15, 2011, one day after official ceremonies in Baghdad formally ended the Iraq war. He finally knows the truth. Sad, he realized it, too late.
@LadyGrace what truth?
@fernie2 The afterlife and God, is real.
@LadyGrace Really? I didn't get the memo. How silly...like you KNOW...you don't know anything about it...no one knows. NO ONE KNOWS!! Best kept secret
@fernie2 I do know, and I don't say that hautily. The proof is in the experience. Millions know. And then there are those who don't know, they don't know. Doesn't change the experience of those who do. There are a lot of things people don't know until they experience it, so until they do, it can't be dismissed as untrue or silly.
@LadyGrace Including the nine million children that die every year worldwide before the age of five? Or the billions in China and India that have a different belief?
@BlueSkyKing You've given no point of reference, here. Please include.
@LadyGrace Okay

@BlueSkyKing Ah...I think I know what your asking here, even before I watch the video.

Yes. All the children before the age of five, who have died, will be in heaven.

Or the billions in China and India that have a different belief?

We must look at who set the standard for salvation. Man was not allowed:

1. Because this side of heaven, there's no way he can know or understand what standard for salvation is acceptable to God. Except by reading God's gift to mankind, His Word. He can guess, but only Jesus, God's son, knows how to have eternal life in heaven. Who better to trust, than One who lives and reigns in heaven?

2. God the Father approved and appointed Jesus to be the Savior of the world. None other.

3. There is no atonement for sin, except by the pure, sinless blood of Jesus, which is so powerful and mighty to save. Mankind has sin flowing through his veins. No power to raise people from the grave on Resurrection Day. Further, sin cannot forgive sin.

4. NOT POSSIBLE, yet even if man could get to heaven by his own efforts, he'd still not make it through the gates. Not with sin on his heels, so to speak. If sin were to tarnish heaven, it would no longer BE heaven.

I could go on and on, but you can see my point. You can also see now, that no one has to miss heaven. God told us what it takes, so we wouldn't have to guess, but we would know how to have eternal life in heaven.

One can believe or not. Man chooses his own destiny and is without excuse that he was never instructed. If he ignores his spiritual side and leaves it to fate, he cannot expect to drag his sins into heaven with him. Man is not worthy to set the standard for salvation. Nor wise enough.
@LadyGrace Even if these children still had original sin? Billions of unbaptized people in this world. Past, present, and in the future won’t get to heaven. Through no fault of their own the vast majority can not get in your heaven. Rules are rules and God doesn’t change his mind. No, I don’t see your point.

― Christopher Hitchens, The Portable Atheist: Essential Readings for the Nonbeliever

Here, we see Christopher Hitchens, a man who even admits he is an atheist, trying to teach others about someone he doesn't even know (God), or even cares to know, has not had the experience of having a personal relationship with God, has not an inkling or clue of who God is, what he is about, cannot understand scripture because it takes the Holy Spirit to help us understand it, and thus, has a totally twisted perspective and misunderstanding about God...what He does, or why...so has judged and condemned Him, and relies on his own limited, fractured, finite, inaccurate, flawed understanding, with no knowledge whatsoever about God's Word, mind you, then passes his limited theories off... as if he was qualified to do so.... as "essential readings" for the nonbeliever....and pass it off as gospel. Yep!! That's someone "I" want to follow! Not!!

He's foolishly relying on his own "wisdom" and man-made philosophies, instead of Jesus, who has actually been to earth and back to heaven, resides there, was approved and appointed by God the Father, Himself....actually knows the spiritual realm and EXACTLY what it takes to have eternal life, without guessing, yet Hitchens wants us to rely on his word, instead of God's. Right....now that really makes sense. 🙄🤦‍♀️ If people fall for his pack of lies, God help them, that's all I can say. God is no liar. People should have considered the source.

What an injustice and insult to God Almighty, to believe man over God, when His sole purpose in coming here was to save us and keep us from hell, and false teachers. This is a sinful, rebellious generation. The devil is loving this! He uses men like Hitchens, to convince all, that God is no good, evil, and out to "get us" and throw us in hell. And people actually fall for it. Unbelievable! God throws no one in hell. They go there by choice...by following people like Hitchens....the blind, leading the blind, off into a ditch, with no hope of rescue. Man is not smarter, nor wiser than God, and he never will be. Some day, people will realize that. If he is, then he'll have no problem raising himself from the dead, and up to heaven on Ressurection Day. 🤦‍♀️ Good luck with that.

AND EVERLASTING LOVE, PEACE, AND JOY - DOES THAT SOUND LIKE SOMEONE OUT TO HURT YOU? IT'S ACTUALLY SOMEONE OUT TO SAVE YOU
@LadyGrace
(W)ho wishes that there was a permanent, unalterable celestial despotism that subjected us to continual surveillance and could convict us of thought-crime, and who regarded us as its private property even after we died?

You do.
@BlueSkyKing No wishing about it. I don't have to guess. I believe in God's promises. He is sinless. That's why God the Father in heaven, not only appointed Jesus as Savior of the world, but approved him. That's good enough for me. I'm sorry it's not for you. I will take God's word any day over man's flawed, finite thinking.
@LadyGrace I feel so sad for you. You're too weak to live free, think freely....I reject all religions...I knew at 9 years old that it is ALL mind controlling bullshit. Written by and for men so they can control everyone..especially Wimmin. I do not understand Wimmin who follow that ridiculous, womyn hating buybull!!! Grow some ovaries and live your life without some narcissistic, selfish, murderous egomaniacal( very much like trump) fairy tale character. It's lovely...reality.
@LadyGrace Do you know what ad hominem is? Ad hominem is when you use the character of your opponent to dismiss his or her argument. What you said about Hitchens has zero truth and doesn’t strengthen your claims. A merciful god would not subject a honest doubter to endless punishment. The Bible reflects the culture of the time. The 47 essayists compiled in "The Portable Atheist" also reflect their cultures of their time.

No need to pretend you care or feel sorry for me, Fernie. I'm not into what you think of me, and nowhere close to being weak. I am both strong in Christ by the power of His blood, and am blessed beyond, that He revealed himself to me, as I asked, and saved my soul... whether you believe that or not. I reject all religious, man-made philosophies, too. There's no "slavery" in Christ. People accept Jesus on their own, and you shouldn't make fun of something you're not understanding or familiar with.

When you address me, there's no need for putdowns, name-calling, cursing, or criticizing. If your going to address me and expect me to answer, then you'll have to show me the respect each of us deserve, here. Unless someone is carrying on like you just did. I already have ovaries, thanks. Now what I need, is for you to address me as a mature adult, woman, would. Welcome to reality.

Man! I hope you never have to represent yourself in court! Since when, are examples not allowed in discussions? Do you know what "references" are?

What I said of Hitchens, I won't recant, as his biblical knowledge is zilch.

You're right! God IS merciful and doesn't even condemn us NOR send us to hell. We go there by choice. God never decides our choices for us, else it wouldn't be called "free will". 😳 You would know that, had you taken the time to read my replies that I took time to write, in answer to your questions. 🤦‍♀️ As I mentioned earlier, God never came to CONDEMN...He only came to SAVE. He proved that, on the cross, when He shed His precious blood, to atone for our sins so we could spend eternity in HEAVEN. He sure didn't suffer the cross to save us, only to turn around and then condemn us! GOD doesn't condemn us....our SINS DO, as they KEEP us separated from God, UNTIL we repent of them and receive forgiveness from Jesus, and inherit eternal life. Bottom Line: WE CANNOT DRAG OUR SINS INTO HEAVEN WITH US. Unfortunately and sadly, some will find that out. God sets the standard for salvation. Not you, not me, not anyone but God. We can either accept that or reject the opportunity for Jesus to save us, but if people are going to be too prideful or stubborn to accept that, and curse Him and His sacrifice on their behalf, God shall certainly honor their wishes. Otherwise, there's not one human being on this Earth that has to miss heaven!
@LadyGrace Until I brought up the yearly nine million children deaths issue, I thought we were having a fairly rational discussion. Then you used the blame Satan cop out. Why no complaints about the Sam Harris video? Does Satan also tell him what to say? Harris and Hitchens both were knowledgeable enough to engage in debates with leading theologians. Not just Christian but Muslim as well.
@BlueSkyKing Such nonsense. I was actually enjoying our conversation until you had no response to my reply to your question, so you quickly changed the subject and copped an attitude...the old switch the subject and unnecessary, false accusations, since you didn't have an answer. I'm only writing to let you know that I don't speak with people who disrespect me or the conversation we're having. I don't know why you think the subject of 9 million children's deaths or Harris and Hitchens are any threat, or any of your questions for that matter. Your questions are easy to answer. I've answered all your questions and in detail, then you got defensive. And I'm certain you'll come back with your accusing, inaccurate remarks, attacking my person and answers again, instead of having a decent, adult exchange of conversation. If you hadn't liked my answer, no problem, but it was not necessary to get defensive. I had much more I wanted to share with you, but it's clear, that you're not really curious or looking for answers. You only want to attack/troll. The goal was to discuss, not argue, or twist my answers so you can accuse. For those reasons alone, this discussion is closed.
@BlueSkyKing Oh that convenient old devil!!!
