Here is a summary of why there is evil in the world, and other questions about God. [Spirituality & Religion]

This is my understanding after studying the Bible for over 40 years!

1. Why is there evil in the world? Because God created angelic beings and human beings with a choice to love or hate. God has rules to love and not be sinful or selfish. He has consequences for sin. There is no sin in heaven at all. Satan rebelled against God and was thrown out of heaven and he is trying to win people for himself and he is a destroyer of life and deceives people into doing evil. Adam and Eve were deceived by him because he is a liar, so they were banned from paradise forever and so are their childrens children. Why are there starving children, murder, famines, earthquakes, fires, and animals starving? Because God cursed the entire creation when we sinned. And He has laws in the universe that are followed.

2. What is Gods plan for humanity? His plan is to destroy this sinful world and make a new heaven and a new earth where there are no tears. Jesus, Gods Son, came to save us so we can experience this new heaven when we die Because He loves us! Because all humans have sinned, Jesus humbled himself and came down from heaven, came to us as a baby, and lived a sinless life, proved he can raise people from the dead, and died on a cross, and was raised himself the third day. All who believe in him will be saved from the wrath to come. When the gospel has gone out to the whole world that's the end.

3.Did God know that Satan and humans would sin when he made them? Yes he had a plan to win people for himself to live in heaven with him. He wants us to tell people about his salvation plan to get to heaven when we die.

4. Does God hear all prayers? NO he does not! We are banned from his presence. He is very clear in Romans and other verses he does not hear the ungodly's prayers, only the Godly's prayers.

5. How do we get God to hear our prayers? We repent our sins, and believe in Jesus who died for humanities sins. Then the Holy Spirit comes into your heart and you are saved. Then he hears your prayers. But he wont answer them unless you have faith and are obedient to his word. If you have prayers that are unanswered it is because either you are not obedient, or you do not have enough faith, or God is teaching you something, or he has a better plan for you. We should always pray for Gods will in our prayers because he knows best. Often we grow through hard times. Thank God for the hard times too!

6. Why does God not kill Satan now? Or destroy all evil now? God is soon going to burn up the world and ALL evil, but he is waiting for the gospel to go out to the whole world and people to repent and be saved first. He is watching who is doing his will loving people to christ. Then Jesus will come back and all saved will go to heaven and the ungodly judged by Jesus for every evil thought and deed.

7. How does God want us to live? He wants us to love God and treat people the way we want to be treated ourselves. He wants us to be thankful for everything!

8. How to handle it if someone hurts us? Jesus says to love our enemies, and pray for those who despitefully use us! But we should not yolk together with unbelievers.

9. Is the Bible accurate? Yes! It has been proven accurate. Some people say it has errors but they have misunderstood those verses. The Bible is the most respected history Book by historiens than any other book at universities.

10. How do I become successful in life? If you follow the Bible to love God, and people, and give first to him in money and time you will be successful, it is Gods promise!

I hope and pray you will heed Gods word in the Bible!

So to summarize the first answer...

One of God's creations lied to two others and they made the wrong choice because this same God hadn't given them the ability to see right from wrong yet. He therefore cursed everything and everyone, including people who weren't even around to stop the honest mistake, and that is proof that He loves everyone, wishes the best for us and deserves praise.

Honestly, I'm not convinced 🤔

@NerdyPotato God gave them clear instructions! You are making excuses for yourself. WE all sin everyday! Have you ever looked on a woman with desire? That is sin and worthy of hell forever. There is no sin in heaven and that is why God himself had to come down and rescue us!We excuse our bad behaviors every day!
@Carazaa what I do is a whole different question, which I may get back to later. But let's start with this one.

It's not an excuse. They didn't know it was right to follow instructions or wrong to ignore them. How clear the instructions were doesn't matter for their case.

As we do know right from wrong, it would have been a simple choice for us. But they got two different instructions that were neither right or wrong to them. It was pretty much a 50/50 lottery.

And regardless of whether they carry blame or what we do after birth, why are we cursed from the very beginning for the behavior of others thousands of years ago?

@NerdyPotato God told them to listen to him and if you eat from that tree you will die! How clear is that!! We are the children of Adam and Eve so we are banned from paradise because God put cherubims guarding the gates, and we sin everyday like I said. You and I both sin daily and even if paradise was not banned you would be banned in 1 sexond. People don't get that sin contaminates and Satan deceives everyday. God will burn the world and that will be that. But he is trying to save us before he does!
@Carazaa and Satan told them to eat it. They didn't know what was right and wrong, so how could they have known whom to listen to?

Anyway, so God is trying to save us from harm He put us into? Forget about the why that happened to us. How is that a sign of unconditional love?
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato They knew who was God, and he told them they would die. What is there not to understand? Satan was contradicting God. They knew they should not eat of the tree. They knew they were wrong and would die but they disobeyed anyway. God knows our thoughts and motivation before we do even.
@Carazaa 😂you’re one of the better trolls out there cult lady!
@Carazaa it's not about understanding the instructions, but about being blamed for wrong-doing while not knowing what wrong means. They learned that by eating the fruit, right? So they didn't know before.

Also, they didn't die. Did you misquote His instructions or are you saying he lied?
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato God gave them perfect understanding. Satan lied and said you will have knowledge if you eat of the fruit. What don't you understand? They KNEW they sinned. God knew their hearts and motivation. Their sin was not listening and obeying God.

Even when we do not know that a sin is a sin, we have sinned. WE ARE TO OBEY GODS LAWS WHETER WE KNOW THEM OR NOT. It is like traffic laws whether we know them or not we get a ticket if we are caught speeding.

To give you an example that you can understand better. If a 2 yearold walks off a cliff he dies whether he knows he will die or not! Gods laws are Gods laws. You can be mad that a kid dies from falling off a cliff but it wont help you. The best thing is study the Bible. Know Gods laws and do not sin.
@Carazaa So He only saves people who obey Him and curses those who do not. That's not what I call all loving or all good and most certainly not unconditional. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Carazaa · F
@NerdyPotato You just do not understand God at all! Would you die a torturous death for hateful people who mocked and tortured you? NO you would not. But because God loves us he did that so we do not have to be banned from hell forever, or be punished for our own terrible sins.
@Carazaa That's right, I don't understand Him at all. I also don't understand the whole dying thing.

- How did that save anyone?
- Why is it considered noble if life is eternal and it's better in heaven than on earth?
- Why does a sacrifice to fix the harm He bestowed on us in the first place deserve this much praise?

I'm really trying to understand, but all of this screams eternal abuse and gaslighting rather than unconditional love.
@Carazaa The Christian God cannot be both omniscient and omnibenevolent. If God were omniscient, then he knew when he created Adam that Adam would sin. He knew human beings would suffer. Regardless of whether the existence of evil can be theologically explicated, an all-knowing Creator deliberately placed humans in its path. This is at least criminal negligence, if not malice. Those who invoke “free will” forget that we all act according to a human nature that was supposedly created by God himself. You can argue all around the bushes on this point, but you can’t get away from the fact that Adam did not create his own nature. At the moment of creation, an omniscient deity would have been picturing the suffering and damnation of most of his creation. This is mean-spirited. God should have had an abortion rather than bring a child into such misery. Perhaps a lesser (or malevolent) god exists, but the problem of evil gives the lie to the claim that a god can be both all-good and all-powerful

@BlueSkyKing You did not read the post carefully. Please read it so you understand that I answered these questions you have!

@Carazaa
They KNEW they sinned.
How could they know? Until they ate the fruit they had no knowledge of right and wrong.
