[c=666666]I only watched the first few minutes, but just wanted to say that I disagree; I don't think many people who do not believe in God, are putting Christians to shame. If he thinks that (as he says he does), he is spending too much time on social media, where all the dumb people accumulate during their days. Instead, step outside, to the real world, and ask people what they think of Christians — very few will say one bad word about someone else's faith.[/c]

[c=666666]@Carazaa I am just referring to some of the first few things he said. I haven't watched it through, so I wouldn't know about the main topic he's there to discuss. At this point (this point in the beginning of video where I am at) he is now stating that it is the duty of Christians to talk about God.[/c]

@Sheer Two minor points. Science points to there being a Creator God. Christianity is not a popularity contest.
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@hippyjoe1955 That's not what I am talking about. I don't have an hour to watch a video about a topic which doesn't particularly interest me, so I just watched the first few minutes out of curiosity. =)
When I heard what he said (as mentioned above in my first comment), I wanted to comment on it, because I believe it is wrong.[/c]

@Sheer I didn't watch it either. Nor am I about to watch it. That completely aside: Science is showing that there is a Creator God: Christianity is not a popularity contest
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@hippyjoe1955 I see. =)[/c]

@Sheer Atheism is a brain dead idea/ideology. No thinking person could ever become one.

[c=666666]@Carazaa Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about. I assume what the video is about, but I haven't watched it, I was just giving my opinion on an unrelated comment he made early on.[/c]
Carazaa · F
@Sheer I am not sure you are telling the truth. My guess is that you believe in feelings more than science and chromosomes, you don't think young earth Biblical christians are wrong? You do not believe that christians are wrong about the literal Bible? You believe in Jesus raised from the dead? This is what he was saying that atheists disagree with us about.
Carazaa · F
@Sheer What comment do you disagree with that he said, and lets see if he is right after all?
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@Carazaa That is not what I meant, when I said that I disagreed. What I meant, was that I disagree with his particular statement: "Often atheists put Christians to shame."
I was only talking about that. That's why I put a semicolon after the word "disagree" in my original comment. =)[/c]
Carazaa · F
@Sheer So you are telling me that you do not put christians to shame when they say that God created the world in 6 days? Or that your chromosomes tell if you are a boy or a girl no matter what you feel and you are ignoring science for fickle feelings that are ppseudo science? It is impossible that the Bible is not true and we came about by chance? Jesus said he will be back and judge the living and the dead, you don't mock us when we look for him?
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@Carazaa It might have been a mistake to put a semicolon there, and I should have put a colon instead.
No, I would not put another person to shame for their personal believes, as I see no good outcome doing such a thing.[/c]
Carazaa · F
@Sheer You are only speaking for yourself. He is talking about most atheists!
Carazaa · F
@Sheer Most atheists are mocking christians!
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@Carazaa I wasn't speaking for myself:
If he thinks that (as he says he does), he is spending too much time on social media, where all the dumb people accumulate during their days. Instead, step outside, to the real world, and ask people what they think of Christians — very few will say one bad word about someone else's faith.
This is what I believe to be true. I didn't know how many people would mock Christians, before I started using the internet. That is because a lot of bitter and intellectually challanged induviduals turn to the internet.
If you were to walk down the street, and ask people's opinions on those who are religious, I don't think many would utter one mean-spirited word about Christians. That's not to say there aren't certain communities where such people might be more or less common, of course.

The reason as for why I wanted to comment on this, is because I think it's a shame if Christians walk around, thinking all atheists would want to put them to shame. If you are encountering such people in the real world, you are in the wrong company. By default, what doesn't hurt us personally, such as someone else's belifs, shouldn't worry us, or bother us.[/c]
Carazaa · F
@Sheer Atheists mock christians for believing the Bible is true! Most people are christians in the world but a few are atheists and most of those mock and hate christians, many kill them in Asia, the middle east, and other areas.
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@Carazaa To be clear, I wasn't suggesting that these people don't exist, but simply that there aren't many such people, compared to all the people in the world.

Well, perhaps I am wrong. =)[/c]

The only reason christians are mocked is because they can be found on Saturdays in town and city centres shouting at passers by who have no interest in what they have to scream about, and deliberately getting in people's way to shove their leaflets onto them. If christians don't want to be mocked, maybe they should think ablout how they behave in public. As far as most people are concerned, it is public disorder. Freedom of speech? How about freedom not to be screamed at and interfered with?
Carazaa · F
@Sheer Thanks for commenting on the post though! You have the right to your opinion 🙂
Carazaa · F
@jackieash I have never done that so you are making very little sense!
Sheer · F
[c=666666]@Carazaa You're very kind. =)[/c]

@Sheer That is very nice of you to say!🌷
