More science which destroys Young Earth Creationism and the food. Today: Elephants disprove the Flood myth! [Spirituality & Religion]
The diversity of Proboscideans (the group to which elephants and several extinct species belong) makes the Flood myth utterly impossible.
The first problem is one of diversity. Since creationists must rely on the non-scientific category "kind" as a rescue device for having far fewer animals on the Ark, this means that at most 2 or 3 members of Proboscidea would have been included. Unfortunately that means that all the members of this order must have diversified after the flood AND THE MATH DON'T ADD UP. To achieve the observed diversity then there would have to be one new species of Proboscidean in EVERY generation which has never been observed even in the fasted reproducing animals like fruit flies or bacteria. Strike one.
The second problem is that even if the creationist only includes a couple members of Proboscidea AND assumes they are juvenile animals AND assumes a metabolic rate as if they were sleeping the whole time THEN 60% OF THE AVAILABLE SPACE ON THE ARK would still be required to feed and house them. Doesn't leave much room, yeah? Strike two
The last problem is obvious and simple: If that level of rapid diversification is impossible and then the creationist must have many MORE "kinds" of Proboscidean on the ark which takes that already crippling 60% to something more like 400% Steeeerike three

lol not sure that's meant to be an accurate description of evolution. As for Romans, i think that totally supports acceptance of evolution. Science is the study of the natural world and if god created the natural world then his work is evident in evolution and those who deny that evidence are without excuse.
There's a lot of truth in that. Over years and years people and other things have evolved When you read the bible in the chronological order, the bible really is the Living Word of God, and it does not contradict itself. The book of Job, describes a fairly huge dinosaur. Job in the chronological order is there after God's wonderful creation in Genesis. And just to fast forward Pikachu..!! I know ill never get out from here lol..!! I do believe after the great flood, apart from every animal on the ark, God was displeased at a lot of creation, hence the flood due to nephilin and other fallen angels roaming in the manifestation of pure hatred towards God. God said a fire not a flood next time. But Pikka ... I always respect your beliefs and points of view Bless x @Pikachu
Thanks! The only thing i'm really going to push back on there is the idea that the book of Job describes a dinosaur. Even leaving aside the actual meanings and origins of Behemoth and Leviathan, they biblical descriptions of these creatures are not indicative of a dinosaur. That's really just a poorly validated interpretation used by Christians to appropriate some scientific legitimacy because it's weird that the bible talks about goats and vultures so much but never mentions animals as aw-inspiring as dinosaurs.
@Wearelivinginamadworld I read Romans 1:20. I tried several English versions and not one of them made any sense at all, I might just as well have been reading the original Greek.
Well read a gospel, find out for yourself how much Jesus loves you I'm a Christian, and have no issues with anyones beliefs on their page. Yet if I put a post up then I do speak out regarding my faith. Denying God and His wonderful , amazing creation is just madness. And Romans 1 vs 20 is sufficient. let alone the whole of the new testament. No disrespect, but this is not my post. I'm happy to answer any question via pm or when I post.
Denying God and His wonderful , amazing creation is just madness.
Members of other religions say the same about their beliefs - "Denying (my) god(dess) and his/her creation is madness." The fact remains, Christians have never given me any reason the believe their views are any more valid than any others.
@Wearelivinginamadworld You can't support anything with "the word of God" unless you first prove God exists. Despite various Christians claiming they have proof, they've never actually provided it. All they ever do is post quotes from the bible. All that really proves is that thay can't support what they claim.
